I came across this video and I have never seen this creature before..

Also, I do not speak the language he is speaking...

can someone translate for me?

some kind of weird naked chicken?

I don't mean this in a insulting way,

never saw one of these?

Update on September 22, 2009 : FRANCE 24 contacted the National Environmental Agency of Panama (ANAM), in charge of the examination. They found that the creature was in fact the decomposing body of a dead sloth, which lost its fur as a result of rotting in the water for too long. The teenager's account of throwing stones at a live animal and returning to find it dead was presumably a hoax. Reports of it being a huge sloth foetus were untrue.

This picture has been around for a while. My best guess is that its a three toed sloth that has been in the water for some time, but who can say for sure without examination of the carcass.

ugh i dont know what animal it is, but its just a dead animal thats been in the ocean for a while. looks like a sloth that escaped from a zoo. or a dog or a racoon or a mutant honey badger.

mate if you eat chikens like that, id advise you to stop eating them.

Looking at the claws I would say its almost certainly a sloth. I have no idea how it could become hairless though? It looks bloated like its been under water for some time.

My best guess is an unfortunate sloth!

Thats exactly what I thought within about 2 seconds of seeing the video.

Possibly an aborted still birth of a sloth . The talons give it away.

I would ask the question of the OP: why was this posted in this forum rather than the cryptozoology one?

Did he/she have a preconcieved assumption that it was alien?

This is what cheeses me off about this field. Find an animal you can't identify so assume its alien.

This is a failing of the Mods too. It should have immediately been moved to the cryptozoology forum.
