I was taught that eating more frequently allowed for maximum absorption of nutrition.

Have you come across any research that studies the bio-availability of vitamins/minerals/etc.. with regards to meal size and frequency? I know this thread is about protein, but perhaps you have come across these studies this in your research.

I used a quick little google-fu but could not find anything supporting or refuting this. I will dig a little deeper, I am sure some studies have been done.

Johnny, I haven't seen anything regarding food quantity and absorption into the bloodstream. Macronutrient composition, and even specific nutrients, affect absorption and cell uptake, no doubt. But food quantity is one specific set I've never seen studied. And I doubt quantity has much effect on absorption regardless.
