Doctors prescribing Meds just for profit?

Every time I have been in a doc's office from 1992 to 2008, drug reps are bringing in lunches for the staff, handing out stuff for the staff, etc.
Big Pharma is the problem here. The docs do not have the time to study up on the drugs so they just go with what the reps say.

People who make drugs for mundane problems.

Or people who are stupid and think they need a drug for everything?

haha so true. There was a drug called Mirapex, which was used to control the symptoms of Parkinson's disease and also prescribed for people with Restless Leg Syndrome, anyways one of the common side effects was amnesia. For as long as the person was on the medication they would experience time lapses, and large gaps in their memory.

Yup exactly, that's why the FDA was founded. You slap a label on a product that says "approved", and people will be it no questions asked.
