Because the regulators were not doing their jobs, exactly why the revolving door between industry and
government needs to be barred. Regulators need to be deputized and face the wrath of the justice system if they fail to perform in good faith.

Regulation prevents stuff from happening all the time Neo, at my job every single transaction I make is regulated
by the federal government, it works fine for my boss, money is money...

The courts are an awful place to pursue entities that are virtually judgement proof -
