The problem Isn't immigration the problem is integration... If I moved to the USA I would become an American citizen and embrace the culture and become one with my new homeland. Similarly, I would simply ask those coming into the UK to become British citizens, learn the language and turn their backs on their outdated archaic religious views as they should not be tolerated in a fair and free society. Your own homeland is proof that immigration can and does work but you have to have the mettle to make it work!

Here in the UK our problem is not so much with immigrants coming into the country its the fact that when they do they are treated better than those born and bred in this country! We are second class citizens in our own homeland... Its not a question of race, creed or colour- it's a question of fairness...

And I find it ironic that you try to castigate 'The British' for expecting immigrants to learn English, respect British values and customs, try to integrate into British society and help the nation continue to grow and develop whilst supporting the immgrants desire to isolate themselves from their foster country, recreate the #hole they have fled from and ultimately impose their will on the very same people who have harbored and protected them and treat them as equals.

I am not stating any of what you are saying isnt true. My being of mixed decent,lets me see in a unique perspective. Racism comes in many flavors,and comes under many banners. We are all human,but some fail to remember it,on a daily basis.

It has absolutely nothing to do with race.

Afro-Carribeans have emigrated here for a number of years and have contributed an enormous amount to British culture and society.
It is not well reported in MSM but a fact nonetheless that many Black British have major concerns with the recent influx of immigrants from Somalia and other parts of Africa and with large parts of the established Asian communities.

Is that racism or a genuine concern aout the future of THEIR country?

Sikh's have long been a part of British society and command an enormous amount of respect.
They have done so whilst also retaining their own cultural heritage and identity.

So how does all that fit into your own pre-conceived opinion that we are all racist bigots.

The British people never signed up for the European Union, they agreed to join a Free Trade Association and every Prime Minister and The Sovereign since has relinquished a bit of sovereignty to the EU, without consulting the people, and as such is technically guilty of Treason.

If we were 'granted' a referendum then I suspect we would vote to come out of the EU.

Being of 'mixed' race grants you no special insight all...when I meet a person of 'mixed' race I don't see a 'mixed' race person I see a person who just happens to be of 'mixed' race, a subtle but very important difference.

And whilst I am not so naive or blind to fail to recognise that there are racist elements around I assure you the vast majority of Brits are anything but racist and view this as a cultural, social and economic issue.

Migrant workers from Eastern Europe and elsewhere have taken many jobs traditionally done by British tradesmen.

But in addition large proportions of several immigrant groups make no attempt to work and are granted large benefit payments etc, some of which are denied to UK citizens, and make absolutely no attempt to contribute to society.

I certainly don't blame immigrants for all of the UK's ill's.
We definately don't help ourselves at times and I have absolutely no respect for many politicians at all, past and present.
But Britain is skint and Britain is full and can not afford to house and feed anyone else.
And immigrants who show no respect at all for their adopted country, in fact show nothing but disdain for it, have no place here.

By refusing to admit that these people should shoulder no blame or responsibility you place yourself with the apologists and PC brigade, neither of which have much credebility and respect.

You are clearly more informed and aware than that.

Our old and sick people are dying unnecessarily every winter from the cold here in the UK. These are our own vulnerable and sick citizens, and they often have to choose between eating or heating because they cannot afford both. They cannot afford to have their homes insulated against our increasingly cold winters here. These people have worked damn hard all their lives - many since they were children of 14 years old and younger.

Someone tell me it is right that we should neglect our own elderly citizens in this way, while at the same time pandering to millions of foreign speaking immigrants who get everything they want and need for free, even interpreters. The cost of one interpreter alone could prevent many of our elderly and vulnerable from dying unnecessarily from the cold every year. But instead, it has to be spent on interpreters so we can understand them when they ask for more of our benefits. They are all take and no give. They are a proverbial 'millstone around the neck' of our economy.

How is it that we are the wicked racist ones for offering them free English lessons and everything else they want and need for free? They refuse to learn English because it's their right to refuse? Won't learn English for no other reason but 'they just don't want to'? Oh BOO HOO.

Everything we taxpaying Brits have and need we have to earn, and have earned, and it is a long, hard, exhausting slog. The only thing that the millions of immigrants coming here have to earn is their wages (if they have a job). Everything else they get is for free.
