I think most presidential runners start out with good intentions. Yet get corrupted when getting into power.

So, an average citizen will most probably follow in those same footsteps, and fall into the power and money game, thus becoming corrupt and like all the rest that was before him.

So the answer to your question is, i would not vote for him.

I don't think that the majority of politicians start out corrupt but they do, more often than not, end up that way. Would be the same way with your "every day citizen".

Power corrupts.

i feel that would be great the world would be a better place, for a while then greed would take over and we'd all be back to square one. The goverments arent created by normal citizens, the 'elite' organised the systems we all live under world wide. giving us a choice of two or three of their puppets still makes voting pointless, your voting for them either way. even when they throw votes and dead people still VOTE.

^^^^ how many places or states do you think this happens in??

if a common joe spoke out he'd be deemed a terrorist and locked up

regular citizens run for president. since they are not multi-millionaires connected to multi-millionaire friends & family, i'm guessing 97% of the voting public never hear their names or point of view.

the whole game is beyond rigged. the whole process is a huge money pit kept alive by TPTB who benefit greatly as their media machine trots out the presidential election dog & pony show every four years for the world to witness. it pacifies those who don't even bother to learn the truth. it inspires millions of foreigners to pursue the B.S. amerikan dream. works well too, as millions trek to make the usa their new home year after year, providing a nice addition to the slave labor pool TPTB counts on to do the dirty work.

If he/she was intelligent and I felt honest who also had some executive experience, so I could determine that they could competently build a quality team, I would vote form them.

Indeed it is From the 'Cokie the Clown' EP.

But to be serious about the question at hand, I would rather choose between real people and not some part of a huge coorperate machine that is a political party.

Exactly. I knew someone who ran for President.

The problem is, they don't have what it takes -- the backing of a lot of people. It's difficult to get enough signatures to appear on a local ballot, let alone on the presidential ballot for a state. Here in Texas (famous for some of our odder politicians, like Kinky Friedman we have people from some very peculiar political groups running for state and local office and who can't raise their name recognition enough to get the signatures to get on a ballot.

Ordinary people simply don't have the social network to get the votes.

Now... any media star does have the name recognition, so actors and sports stars and so forth could run. But I'm afraid neither you nor I, no matter how excellent we might be as a President, will ever get enough of the country's attention to appear on a ballot or have the same chance as the very worst ranked of the current field of Republicans.
