Ok so my friend broke up with her boyfriend, and I told her that I was going to make an inspirational mix CD for her, as I had one from my last break up, but the songs are kind of old. So I wanted some suggestions to make someone feel better after a break up.
Any suggestions?

Here are 2 that I have already.
Hold On- Wilson Phillips

In The End- Linkin Park

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Peace, NRE.

Though they are hella retro, somethings remain timeless:

Very nice SpecOp, those are definitely going to make it to the CD.
Thanks for helping me out

Peace, NRE.

My ex boyfriends mom years ago played this song for me and said it was my anthem for the moment. I thought it was sweet and it always made me smile while listening to it. It made me feel good like she said

This is a great song. I don't know if your friend would want to listen to it though.

Just listen to the lyrics. Peace.

I dont care if she wants to listen to it, I LOVE this song.
Thanks and its going on the CD as well.
You guys are great I might have to make a multiple compilation CD, because these songs are great, and I am sure would help alot.

As a side note, I'm going to make sure I make a copy for myself

Peace, NRE.

Oh God, most of these songs make you think of your ex and therefore worse! Listen to something upbeat and inspirational or funny, like anything by Bloodhound gang or Tenacious D - rock out!

Sorry, just couldn't bring myself to use the Jessica Simpson version.

I really liked this song. Seemed to hit a bunch of truths about a relationship I had once upon a time. Helped make the transition to single life a bit easier too. For the non-Clapton fans out there....be warned. hehe.

Here's another good one.
This is one that will make you want to break things LOL. But you will feel better later.
Kelis- Caught Out There
