Wow. Where is Nancy Pelosi going with this one?

Abolish elections? Don't bother to vote? Turn San Francisco into one large FEMA camp for everyone who doesn't agree with Nancy Pelosi?

Is the Liberal Welfare Socialist Party falling apart like Caligula's brain?

Then, again, in their depths of despair and panic during a losing spree, there's no telling what someoe like Nancy Pelosi will come up with.

I'm just going to go out on a limb by myself here and say that she's an idiot and needs to lose her job. She clearly doesn't respect the very principles on which this country was founded.

i have a feeling NP is just enjoying some easy money courtesy of connected friends. i wouldn't want to hear what this woman has to say. i would have to be very well paid to attend her speaking engagement. i'm just as puzzled by S.Palin receiving money to speak in front of people.

Wish I could get that kind of money for speaking in front of people. I'd even settle for the kind of money Gallagher makes smashing watermelons with his Sledgeomatic.

But is Nancy Pelosi speaking in front of overly excited anarchists whose ancestry reaches back to the Third Reigh or Stalin's Russia or what?

Is Nancy Pelosi advocating the overthrow of the government?

I am afraid I have to agree with the witch, It's the first time ever for that to happen.

The way the political system is ran and since I believe we don't have a choice anyways, just the illusion of one they present to us.

The elections shouldn't matter so much.

Yhe days of actually electing a "representative" of the people is about gone.

I think what Nancy Pelosi is subliminally saying is that 'You people are too stupid to elect the right people...namely ME!!"

Yeah, Nancy Pelosi is just another wealthy Democrat who really, really has no respect for the working class. Except she knows how to use them crocodile tears while making speeches.

exactly Nancy.. you all already won, you might as well just get the position.. its not like you do anything we want you to anyways.. and i'm willing to bet the last few have been rigged.. so lets just get rid of it.. great idea..

we'll start with the elimination of some elected positions.. maybe hers. then we will see which way the fire spreads, maybe we can burn it all down with one match.

I can't help but think she is trying to out the Republican party as being one in the same as the Democrat party in front of voters, "So that it doesn’t matter so much who wins the election, because we have shared values about the education of our children, the growth of our economy, how we defend our country, our security and civil liberties, how we respect our seniors." It is seemingly harmless to say well both parties think they know and want whats best for the country, but I see it as her way of taking down the Republicans with the rest of the Democrat party because the public just isn't buying it anymore. By her invalidating any election win by her opposing party this coming election year is not only too late in the game but insulting to citizens voters who have been dealing with both parties indiscretions for far too long, and especially this past administration's indecisiveness. There are very fundamental differences as to how both parties want this country run. All things she listed education, economy, defense, civil liberties etc. Why do you think there has been so much hashing and re hashing especially from Pelosi herself, she has been one of the contributors to draw the proverbial line in the sand over and over again. Sorry I don't buy it

I get the feeling that what you said is that if Nancy Pelosi were aboard the Titanic, she'd be shooting people who were trying to get into one of the lifeboats before her.

I'm no Pelosi fan either, but what she says here makes sense. It shouldn't matter who our leaders are. ANY leaders should be interested in the welfare of the people. ALL people. Makes perfect sense to me.

No, that's your bias overlooking an honest statement.

Presidential elections are a production of drama. That is why we will NEVER have a competent president.
If you look at our friends in Europe, you will find that their elections are not nearly as publicized as they are here.

which is exactly the reason why normal folks
get involved with politics, cuz chit holes like
Pelosi and croons DO NOT look out for
the welfare of the people. They look out
for the corporations that make them rich.
And that kind of wealth does NOT trickle
down at all. Pelosi should be tried for treason.

Politicians shouldn't matter as much as they do either.

Each and every one of them should be replaced every 2 years. The very fact that we have people who make it a career is a sad commentary on the people of the United States.

I have always said that serving in congress should be like jury duty, you get picked, do the job as best as you can, get paid, then your out and the next person serves. A government truly 'for the people, by the people'.

That's true. As everyone should. But IMO, people should call her out when she's hypocritical, but when she says something that makes sense and people try to make her look bad because of that, it just ruins their credibility.

Whatever person we elect should serve the people. There shouldn't be as wide a difference in policy as we get, based on which party gets elected.

P.S What are "Crunchies"?

It's a granola-like bar cookie with oatmeal, nuts and whatever goodies you would like to add.
My husband likes cinnamon chips in it.

Treason. I don't think that word means what you think it means... What specific treasonous act do you suspect her of?

For many people, they seem to consider being a democrat, liberal, leftist, etc. an act of treason....or they sure act that way.

I find it amazing that so many folks that present themselves as hardcore constitutionalists pull the word treason out of their pocket so loosely when it is clearly laid out in plain English right there in the constitution.

On topic: I agree with Pelosi in this instance. What ever happened to the days when our elected officials went to work and did their job? Now days all they do is campaign, campaign, recess, campaign, grandstand, campaign....
