Though I understand your frustration, but by not par taking in the voting process, if your vote does actually count, ( which we all know its rigged anyways ) but for the sake of argument, wouldn't you want your vote to matter? Secondly, if you don't vote, then you have no grounds to complain with the end result!

Can't say I'm surprised. Nothing he does is aimed at helping America, this bungling idiot couldn't run a lemonade stand without screwing it up. Really, what has he done to help America? What? Extend unemployment for three years? A stimulus package that fell flat on it's face? National health care that nobody wanted? a ban on oil drilling? He needs four more years to finish turning this country into a third world nation, we're on the fast track now.

He extended the Patriot Act, that was good right ? ( yes Im being sarcastic!)
He allowed for higher gas prices
Extended the illegal wars
And hasn't repealed anything with the ongoing molestation at the local airports

gee....he really hasn't done anything for the good of the people?

Oh wait, he went on several vacations...oh nevermind...tax payers burden there~

Damn....just an empty suit after all, then again we all predicted that long ago!

That is a very high possibility! We may not be around much longer...its widely speculated that the invasion of Libya is simply the " new " cold war with China~

Agreed....America can't survivev much longer as a Welfare Liberal Socialist movement. So, does an economic collapse act as a harbinger or a resurrection of the old values that DID make America great?

Sometimes you just got to throw a monkey wrench into the machine to get it to start working right again.

Thank you for answering your own statement. "if you don't vote, then you have no grounds to complain with the end result!" Exactly my point.

Secondly: My vote doesn't matter. You know why? Because all of these people that do run for president speak with forked tongue.... It hit me, if this country is just going to go downhill, why does it matter whom I vote for if the end result is the same?

Take a look at this jem I found, not sure if this was posted here yet. redwhitebluenews.com...
obama wants to upgrade the mexican trucks coming into this country, possibly putting more American drivers out of work.
Don't for get the $2billion obama pledged the Brazil Petrobras for oil exploration since I guess we can't do that here in the US.
Cut funding to NASA (yeah, not a huge deal considering the shape we're in, but still) so now the US has to bum rides to the space station from russia who just happened to raise the price tag.
Found this for the price tag for the US to hitch a ride to the Space Station. over $55million each. science.gaeatimes.com...

Great ! just * Snipping * great!

Obama has decided to pay $1,600 per truck to replace the old mufflers with new catalytic converters, reducing harmful diesel emissions by up to 30%…. “Free trade” isn’t so “free” after all.

redwhitebluenews.com...

ETA: 1600.00 per truck, just what the tax payers want....instead of paying for recovery, possibly implement debt recovery for its citizens we're gonna waist money on this! Never ceases to amaze me!

Obama Just Said that 'Welfare' Made This Country Great...While Trying to Quote Lincoln

Well...Obama never mentioned the words "welfare"...right there your title is misleading. Here is what he said.

www.businessinsider.com...

Part of this American belief that we are all connected also expresses itself in a conviction that each one of us deserves some basic measure of security. We recognize that no matter how responsibly we live our lives, hard times or bad luck, a crippling illness or a layoff, may strike any one of us. “There but for the grace of God go I,” we say to ourselves, and so we contribute to programs like Medicare and Social Security, which guarantee us health care and a measure of basic income after a lifetime of hard work; unemployment insurance, which protects us against unexpected job loss; and Medicaid, which provides care for millions of seniors in nursing homes, poor children, and those with disabilities. We are a better country because of these commitments. I’ll go further – we would not be a great country without those commitments

And he did quote Lincoln

www.businessinsider.com...

We believe, in the words of our first Republican president, Abraham Lincoln, that through government, we should do together what we cannot do as well for ourselves.

I don't mind honest criticism...but mis-leading propaganda and outright falsehoods I do mind.

No one is deserving of anything? What is earned, is what is deserved.

He did not say welfare made this country great. He worded it differently. Social Security and Medicare is NOT welfare. These programs do make our country great by showing we have compassion for our weakest most vunerable citzens. I have new found respect for Obama today. He may have won my vote if he continues to fight against cutting these desperately needed social programs and benefits programs.
FDR was a great president and he would have given us the right to more equality. Read up on his second bill of rights.
By the way section 8 which is more or less a welfare program has self sufficency programs such as home ownership programs, voc rehab and much more. Without these social programs we would be like a country in Africa or a third world country where the weakest people are left to fend for themseleves. I agree these programs do make American great!
