Or use the comparison of a drug addict. Government has a heroin problem and is stealing (printing money) and taking Mom's credit card (national debt) to pay the drug lord. Obama just said using a scalpal is the way to go in reducing this debt thingy (addiction). So, rather than an intervention for the heroin addict (machete), we need to make a deal with the heroin addict not to steal or take dear old Mother's credit card (scalpal approach) until he is less addicted?

Can we better trust the decision making process of a drug addict over a sober Liberal Socialist with dreams of Utopia? Well, yes. In one respect. A drug addict is more singular minded. Whereas the hunt for Utopia takes you all over the map with no specific destination.

I thought this was supposed to be a Speech about reducing the Deficit...instead it was a Election Campaign Speech? Promises,Visions,Beliefs...Didn´t we hear that before somewhere?

i always just envision opposites.
when he says rolling back the tax cuts on the rich, what he really means is,
destroying more of the middle class and transferring more of their money to the rich.
