OKLAHOMA CITY -- The gruesome death of this 15-year-old tabby cat is incredibly disturbing. Charges of animal cruelty have been filed against 20-year-old Angelina Barnes in the Oklahoma County district court after authorities say Barnes mutilated the family cat.

Barnes' relative arrived at their home on 158th in Northwest Oklahoma City to total darkness.

Does anyone have any more information about this young woman? I wonder if it was a coincidence that she just happened to be going to the concert when she had a psychotic break, or if her behavior has something to do with Lady Gaga.
I happen to be a Lady Gaga fan, but have been questioning her "shock value" over the last year or so. It's one thing to be shocking, and another to be completely off the wall.

I wouldn't blame Lady Gaga. She might look like a freak. But she doesn't attack animals. This reminds me back when myself or anyone hears about Ozzy or Alice Cooper mutilating animals. Shock value sells.

Eurgh vile. Anyone who hurst animals, children, the elderly, disabled either needs serious help or they're just sick. This kind of stuff really upsets me.

Well when you put it that way I understand better she has problems. Like I mention do not blame Lady Gaga. She is a person who is famous. Basically what she is a image. People worship her and figure whatever she does is normal to do. Attention, money, no one making a big deal of anything you do. This is a young persons dream to have everything they want and be worshiped by others.

People better call for her death, just like they called for the death of that poor little girl in Bosnia who killed her sick puppies humanely.

To me that sounds like a psychotic break or possible drug use of psychedelics causing a bad trip or some meth or other similar compounds triggering a psychotic episode. I've witnessed both those style drugs cause horrible issues in psychosis for people. I highly doubt someone would have gone to the extremes like this girl did without something like a psychotic break happening, so I don't see why they should even mention she was going to a Lady Gaga concert.

No entrainment or shock culture causes people to do stuff like this. This is caused by deep psychological issues and an evil mind.

A person who under any circumstances would for no reason outside of a direct threat or required sustainment take a life is sick. A person who would engage in torture of any living thing should be permanently removed for society.

I believe people people who mutilate animals at any age for any reason should be disposed of. They are junk life and not needed in our society.

Can you tell I have a strong opinion on the matter? I will not engage in debate on this because I will get T&C violation.

Lady GaGa has made herself so "shocking" that she apparently now influences her fans to be "shocking". She's not the only one, there are people who make it their life to worship celebrities of all kinds.
Anyone remember when Twilight first came out, a little girl (maybe 16 or so) was standing outside the "velvet ropes" where Robert Pattison was coming out, she scratched her neck so hard that it bled so she could "attract" the (pretend) "vampire". It's scary how much the pop culture world has such a hold on people...

She obviously needs mental help as well, I hope she gets it.

I agree with you. People worship celebrities. One of the reasons I believe kids and teenagers act like they do today is because they how television reacts to celebrities. Would you listen to your angry parents or whatever is popular and enjoyable on T.V.

LADY GAGA IS PURE WITCHCRAFT and its in your face....SHE IS DESENSITIZING YOU to a number of things, cmon... wearing meat, dressing as virgin mary doing skanky moves, showing brain washing connotations in her videos, her off topic remarks on sex drugs and alcohol whilst knowing its mostly young girls that these comments are effecting....and the one that gets me is CHANGING THE SCOPE OF MORALITY AND BEHAVIOUR WITH YOUNG GIRLS..

Lady Gaga is a direct result of popular modern reactionist society and has nothing to do with real pagan beliefs.

But people view extreme animal cruelty as some sort of pagan ritual. Pagans respect the earth and it's inhabitants. What you put out is what you get back is the basic idea.
I really think this (dare I say poor girl) suffered from a psychotic break of some sort. It's insanely disgusting and disturbing what she did. I work with animals and have quite a soft spot for them. Stuff like this really gets to me. Hopefully they will find more information about what ignited the crazy in her.

I am no fan of Gaga, infact I dislike her(him??)... that's another story. However, I don't feel it's necessary to blame music(movies, games, etc)on ones own action, whether they be mental illness or drug induced bad decision.
The person if in fact deeply disturbed and needs to be punished(jail, fined and or mental institution). Her next victim could be a child. No excuses, which includes music.
