Not one, not one damn thing on TV or online about this protest. Good job ‘media’ and ‘reporters’ for ignoring a protest against Obama’s unconstitutional wars in New York City. If the protest was violent or it was the Tea Party protesting the protests would be all over the news. What absolute hypocrisy as usual.

Meh, you're just anti-Obama!
These wars have all (except for Libya) been started by Bush. Don't forget it!

Why shouldn't anyone be anti-Obama?

While it is true that the wars started under Bush's watch, Obama has done NOTHING to stop them. In fact, Obama has ESCALATED the wars and foreign terrorist attacks that Bush started. The U.S. is now involved heavily in Libya, as well as Iraq and Afghanistan.

What I find utterly amazing is how you Obama supporters continue to support this vile and disgusting parasite of a man. He has done a SHAMEFULLY poor job. He lied through his teeth with all of his promises.

Wake up Vicky.

While I think it's great that people are protesting US foreign policy, I think the expectations here that the 'msm' should be giving a lot of attention to this might be a bit hopeful. A few thousand people showing up for ANYTHING in NYC isn't exactly news. And while I would LOVE to see more protests against Obama's continuation of us foreign policy, a relative handful of people showing up at union square to protest seems fairly ho-hum. Several dozen women hold peace downtown near my hme ever friday. It's an anti-war protest, but it doesnt merit excessive media attention. It's not like tens of thousands marching on the mall or something.

Are people still going to be blaming Bush 10 years from now?

Yes, Bush has a lot of blame - but so does every other president - they are all puppets for the elite. Seems like some here on ATS can only see the party rhetoric - as long as someone is supportive of the establishment and TPTB, they don't have my support......and those who believe in their tripe - just one of the many sheeple who will be left scratching their heads when this fake economy and society falls apart.

It blows my mind that people think Obama is any different then Bush - look at those he surrounds himself with, look at what policies that he allows to continue.

edit: and its funny how Obama, like every other president - has buddies in all the big corporations (like how Obama is friends with GEs CEO - Jeff Immelt, who is also part of the Economic Recovery Advisory board - the company that didn't pay a dime in taxes....I would hope this would make people think)

NEITHER PARTY GIVES A DAMN ABOUT YOU.

First hello cointelpro cowards- Thanks poster for posting-i never heard it on the news either. shameful,i guess Jesse Ventura and Ron Paul were right about the shape of this country.
I remember the viet nam protests. I was drafted -wanted to sighn up earlier--[17] then parents said i had to wait till i was 18. Then the [my lia massacure] happened and it seemed if you went to war you were a killer of whole families. The hippies sure turned the tide of things back then. Even when cowards to the truth shot real americans at kent state THEY GOT TOUGHER
I hope people wake up and see war is murder. All participants are guilty

If you think this was normal people just taking to the streets, deny ignorance is not going on here.

UNAC planned and organized this with a whole schedule of other stuff around the country.
International Socialist Organization, is one of its founders.

The International Socialist Organization is based in the United States and identifies with the politics of "International Socialism," which follows the Trotskyism philosophy. It publishes the weekly newspaper Socialist Worker and the bimonthly magazine the International Socialist Review. It also hosts the "Socialism" conference each summer

The MSM didn't cover it but these guys did,

Do you have a source (link) showing a direct connection? My suspicions were immediately aroused when one of the speakers mentioned global warming (at a anti-war rally?) and he labeled the “threats to our security” meaning the current acts of rampant imperialistic wars of aggression around the globe as a result of “capitalism”.

You musta forgot all of Obama's promises. To end the wars, and close Gitmo. He was elected because we wanted an end to these things, but once elected he claimed that he was advised the best thing to do would be to break his promises, because of "conditions on the ground". AND, he started a whole new war on top of it. Obama is no different than Bush, both parties are the same, a scam meant to give the illusion of choice. The elitists that run the show are firmly in control, as long as people are stupid enough to keep falling for the 2 party scam.

Be nice if it were as simple as the US withdrawing from the dozens of nations in which they're actively intefering

But of course, it's not that simple, is it

How many nuclear weapons exist right now ? How many are being produced right now ? How many nations possess them ?

It's big business, the war business. Highly profitable

At one end, the same handful and their cronies make billions out of the War industry

and at the other end, millions of what are regarded as 'useless eaters' kill and die

The dead are considered as expendable. They're cheap. And humans continually replace those lost, so they're basically an endless resource to be exploited at very little cost

Once this or that nation acquired nuclear weapons, of course other nations believed (and were persuaded) that they needed to acquire some too, as insurance

Now those things are out there. Who'd trust governments to dispose of them if an international agreement were signed ? That's right, no one is able to trust anyone else

All over the planet are secreted highly dangerous weapons. They come into the hands of fanatics as well as into the hands of small nations who feel such weapons are their only insurance against the US-Israel war machine

So much as we'd like it all to stop, realistically it won't and can't. It's taken on a life of its own, with the same scummy handful making money from the situation all the way down the line

If the US resigned from the fray and went back to building its economy and taking care of its citizens and limiting its intake, the same people who're desperate for the US to resign from wars would then become terrified every time someone said the word 'China', for example

So it would be great if all governments agreed to get rid of their weaponry by firing it into space (as opposed to dumping them in the oceans or burying them in deserts) but realistically, it's not an option now, is it ?

I pretty much agree with you. I am not disillusioned with Obama because I never was illusioned with him, and I was not all that surprised when he didn't keep his promises.
However, Bush deserves the shame.
In answer to someone above, yes, I will still be blaming him in 10 years!

What is an Obama war? You mean Bushs wars?

It is ALL about perception

America's Wars
started well before both were born.

We are NOT the "World Police"

We need to STOP - Bring ALL troops and assets home to protect our "Own"

NOW

Santa Claws

Well actually we are. Those were the exact words used by Truman at the beginning of the Cold War and no president since has changed America's foreign policy in that regard.

Those guys were incredible. Faith restored in Americans. I was beginning to think no one had a heart or brain left anymore, considering what has been coming out of there - mostly war, and lies to start wars, or to continue them, and pointing the finger at other nations' human rights issues when America has the worst statistics. Power to you!

If you think these socialist organized events have anything to do with "Americans" then you have a serious delusional problem. From your response though it is clear that they serve a propaganist role somewhere in the world and you are the clueless recipient of it.
