it depends on what we are fighting for. Would I fight for the freedom we once had? yes. Would I fight to save my own as$? yes. would I fight for oil? NO would I fight for religion? Nope.

Simple answer. Yes, because if I didnt I'd get shot if I said no..

And thats the sad reality it would come to.

I would never shy from an opportunity to defend my country.

Yet, daily each and every American citizen does.

However, prior to waging war against my oppressors I would darn sure need some proof that we were actually being attacked!

What if your information as to actually attacked came from the "enemy" themselves?

Put it this way, I will happily shoot at anyone (individual, terrorist faction OR invading army) who is in my house, yard, city, state or country trying to take from me that which rightfully belongs to me, whether it be freedom, property or person.

This could happen sooner than most think.

I would NOT go charging into ANOTHER person's house/city/country to preemptively attack them.

If you chose to allow yourself to be drafted...you loose all options of choice...you BELONG to the invading army.

I think what we need is bigger defense...NOT more offense.

How about just sending the message...Trespassers will be shot...

Fortunately, I'm not subject to being drafted, but you could count on me to do my part at home should the need arise, though I doubt it ever will. There isn't an army in the world powerful enough to take on the US on US soil. We just have WAAAAAAY too many guns in this country (civilian AND military forces alike).

It's not the number of weapons...but how they are used that defines a good defense.

Bring the troops home!

Sure would put a lot of money towards the deficit if the troops came home, wouldn't it?

I signed up for the draft when I was 18. I'm much older now and beyond the revised draft age which I believe includes both men and women up to age 42 if I remember correctly. I was never fond of the draft or people who wanted to draft people. I read a good editorial on it in my local paper one day. The author stated that the draft made a war more likely instead of something to avoid. The reason is because a draft is a confiscation of labor. The country is basically taking the labor hours of young people in this country and confiscating their time or possibly even their lives and in so doing, that makes war cheaper. Making a war cheaper to engage in makes it more likely to happen. War should be avoided if possible in my opinion. I thought changing the law so that women can be drafted as well was stupid. If a country loses a significant part of the women of child bearing age, then the whole population of the country will go downhill with many adverse effects from that. Now if things got desperate and I thought I could make a difference, I would definitely see what I could do.

Wow, it's a circle jerk of the cowardly kind.
Let me throw some sand in your lotion

If there was a draft, there would be world wide conflict so there will be no place to draft dodge to.
There are plenty of futureless youth who will jump at the chance to fill your role if you decide to rot in a prison instead of serving.

Yes, I would rather rot in prison or be shot in the head than ever take up arms at the order of a tyrant. What is funny or implausible about that to you?

and also, let's not forget.
Who is this commander in chief?
Is it the same illegal immigrant
who can't show a LF BC ???
If so, then any order he gives
is an invalid one. just saying.

Well, if you live in the land of a tyrant I will modify it for you, you won't rot in a prison, you will be eliminated Kaddafi style. We all seen what happens to people who won't fire a gun on a tyrant's behalf these days, expect to be ziptied and burried alive, or beaten to hamburger. If you hide out long enough the western free world may save you so there is hope in your case then, have strength.

I would wholeheartedly laugh at the anti-western cowards who suckle off the teats of free nations while they pray for their downfall should there ever be a draft and they try to dodge it. They allowed themselves to be indoctinated by socialist agendas so why should anyone pity them?

I am female, so for the sake of argument, let's assume this hypothetical draft included women as well.

No. I would not give up my life or individual rights for distorted, mangled politics. Those whom played their political cards which created the mess that bore WW3 can do their own fighting. THEY can clean up their mess, not I.

I would not go to war to fight - no matter the repercussion or who sends me, if the war comes to me I will fight till I have no fight left.

Wow...so much confusion...

The tyrant country is the United States by the way. Western free world? You must be kidding! Western ILLUSION of free world would be a better title.

I would never fight for the United States, or Canada in my case. All wars are BS, all it is about is money and natural resources. Why would I risk my life for that?

I don't care getting a bullet in the head lol, as if death scared me? I know death is not to be feared but to be embraced.

I would kill anybody that my government asked me to. The people running the military have been round a hell of a lot longer than I have. They probably have a better idea than I do of what is going on and who should die.

If you can't trust the elders who can you trust?

I would bail before the draft happens.....rather die as a freeman than a slave......at least this is what I choose myself, not what the elite crook choose for me.

If i was drafted for WW3, i would fight, but it would be for AUSTRALIA and AUSTRALIA alone. I would do anything for my AUSSIE brothers and sisters.
My fellow AUSSIES are worth my life, but what i have seen from this ugly world, Well.............. I would not fight for the rest of you................. Well not until can prove yourself.

So Draft me into WW3 fight for OZ and Oz alone.
You can all fight for your own land.

Sorry to be selfish, But
