Your entire description of the Beast fits the United States to a tee. There are no other countries that fit the description so perfectly.

Especially now with the Fundamentalists having entered politics via the Republican and Tea Parties.

#1 Why would the UN abolish organized religion? It is the one aspect of every society on earth that keeps people under a semblance of morality and restraint.

#2 The worst dictatorships to rise did so headed by Atheists. HItler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Pinochet, etc etc. Why would the UN want to deal with something like this?

This is a totally nonsensical thread topic designed to make religious folk hate and fear the UN.

The One World Religion Conspiracists really needs to read through and actually comprehend what the UN Charter says and actually MEANS!!! and stay UPDATED

The Universial Declaration of Human Rights

Article 18
Everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion; this right includes freedom to change his religion or belief, and freedom, either alone or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship and observance.

Source The Universial Declaration of Human Rights - Article 18

PLAIN LANGUAGE VERSION:
You have the right to profess your religion freely, to change it, and to practise it either on your own or with other people.

Countries are made of many different kinds of people from many different places.

But sometimes countries have an official religion, or a national political party.

If you are different from the majority, you still have the right to your own religion and your own opinions, and have the right to practise your religion and express your opinions in public and in private.

Looks like OWRC are relying on their blind followers/groupies NOT to do their OWN research

Here you go OWRC - handed to you ONCE AGAIN on a silver platter ...

What your very own 'US Commission on International Religious Freedom' said in regards to the UN newly adopted resolution on Religious Freedoms

There is another variable in play that I am watching very closely, Ron Paul is running for President, although he doesn't want to empower the UN, he wants to pull America out of the roll of world policemen, if he is elected and follows through on such a foreign policy by default the UN would actually fulfill that role and gain strength. Either way Dr. Paul message of America is broke we can't afford the empire abroad anymore is resonating with Americans.
America for financial reasons may have to back off very soon and share the workload, the UN is the agency in place that can do this. The book of Revelations speaks of an 8th and final king in the last days, that remains for a short while, it is the UN.

Sometimes it is not up to the lawmakers to know 'how' or 'why'. Certain events haven't yet occurred that will rally the support around the UN to discredit many mainstream religious organizations, to pass sanctions against those organizations that don't sign the UN Charter.

When that time does come, very few religions will comply with it - even more of them will dissolve simply for the lack of support as they won't be able to monetarily afford such drastic changes to their doctrine.

Napoleon has been resurrected. His money first funded the removal Jewish business infrastructure. Oh how his Liberty torched their towers with her back turned? The deed is done. He has retaken Egypt and interrupted Britain's flow. Now his Concordat will be redacted. As the Legion of Honour reins in the UN, war will be his new religion. Napoleon, the King of the North will rise again and be at the Russian's door with policies galore. Out of disgust Marquis de Custine will burn the Hermitage at the Gods of Egypt. Egypt, she has fallen - the sand into glass forever.

It is starting. Two important rulings have been made by the British High Court.

1. Religious organizations are financially liable for acts committed by people in position of authority.

2. Government has the right to monitor and alter educational policies conducted by religious organizations.

Here is a thought.

We do not need anyone to abolish organised religion.

We just need to stop following.

Everyone can make that decision.

I have ranted and raved against organised religion forever. It is a pack of lies and it turns people into mob psychology, i.e brainwashed - and that is bad.

It is why we have terrorists, and it is why people hate each other.

Just say no to organised religion.

And if people say no, there will be no more organised religion.

Simple. People still have the power.

In view of Catholic challenges in the news this thread deserves a rival.

It will be interesting to see what comes out of it.

This is what Jehovah's Witnesses believe, based on that alone I could almost dismiss it but there are other problems with this idea. Anyway, it has been discussed before, only 9 years ago.

The main part of this that the OP is missing - especially if he's going to use the bible and revelations - is that someone or thing appears with such miraculous powers, that the world bows down to him and then this thing declares himself "god". Who is really satan. and then all hell breaks loose.

The UN is not about abolishing religion - it's about bringing a pagan religion and forcing everyone to pay taxes to it. But the satan doesn't care about money, it cares about torturing and killing almost everyone.

That's a reasonable assumption. What will fall will be several well-known religious organizations who throughout history have been politically active. All facets of them will be completely devoured by their political counterparts.

Denmark's anti-immigration far right People's Party was set to top the poll with an estimated 23 percent and the extreme-right Jobbik, widely accused of racism and anti-Semitism, was running second in Hungary with 15 percent.

In the Netherlands, the anti-Islam, Eurosceptic Dutch Freedom Party of Geert Wilders' - which plans to forge an alliance with Le Pen - finished joint second in terms of European Parliament seats behind a pro-European centrist opposition party.

I would like some more input by well read 'biblical scholars' on astrology and other esoteric practices.

Well I will tell you this much. Babylon taken as a whole in scripture has primarily to do with the nature of "religion" spreading out of Mesopotamia to the rest of the world very early on. That "religion" was part of "statecraft", crowd control and has to do with king and royals as "gods", sun worship, the underworld mysteries, shamanism, priest craft ect. In scripture these kingdoms of the earth were also known as "the daughters of Babylon".

One of the ways they still manage to keep this early takeover of the earth, around 3000 b.c. +/- hidden from view, even though its in plain sight, is with cross cultural studies that focus on the trees and not the forest.

Ideas vary, but some feel the last great "Babylonian" center on the earth fell when Rome was finally overthrown and that we have yet to see the full emergence of the last great "Babylon" even though Babylon remains all around us. The last great struggle between the Babylonian forces took place during WWII with an attempted emergence of the Nazi/Japanese "sun kingdoms", the swastika and rising sun, but it failed and was beaten back down by the "battle ax" (biblical reference) nations.

What should we look for? A greater unification effort than those currently seen. A worldwide effort, a new world order way beyond anything suggested thus far. A great leader will emerge, old school, with the power to subvert the earth with talk of peace in the ears of a war wary planets and promised of peace, prosperity and a world wide commercial network even beyond what we have today.

Look for a great freak to arise, like the freaks of old.

No, it isn't. In fact, religion is a huge source of conflict the world over.

#2 The worst dictatorships to rise did so headed by Atheists. HItler, Stalin, Pol Pot, Pinochet, etc etc. Why would the UN want to deal with something like this?

Hitler wasn't an atheist and there were plenty of religious leaders in our history with insatiable blood lust - why did you leave them out?

This is a totally nonsensical thread topic designed to make religious folk hate and fear the UN.
