Over the past few weeks, I was blessed with the incredible opportunity to be part of something truly beautiful- both figuratively, and literally speaking.

A Dallas based artist group- the Just Us League- organized a HUGE art exhibition/benefit to raise money for Japan, and our Sister City of Sendai:
FLOOD OF EMOTION: Artists Healing Japan

This event took place this past Saturday, and with the awesome turnout, we were able to EXCEED our goal of $10,000!
And we're still raising money via our website:

[Content Removed By Staff]

*The piece of art I donated is the painting with the silver background/Butterfly made out of gears- It's titled "Freedom from the Machine"- I think most people here on ATS will appreciate it

Oh and just in case you're wondering, I'm the one with long blonde hair

I hope that this will inspire you to do something in your city to help- even if you're thousands of miles away, it's amazing what you can accomplish when you set your mind on it.
WE LOVE YOU JAPAN!
God bless you all...
Peace and L

I think what you were involved in and the fact that you were involved in something not about you commendable.

I would shake your hand , this will have to suffice

Peace.

Awesome project there, and the artwork is beautiful.

It's great to be reminded that not everyone is standing on the sideline doing nothing in all parts of the world, we have to do what we can for our people, could've easily been us.

Thank you

It's good that you're trying to help. I hope you actually know where your money is going. Understand that Japan has laws on this money coming in and if I remember correctly, donations to certain organizations, the Japanesse government takes a chunk of it.

Great job!
The people of Japan continue to amaze me! We could take a lesson from these people's behavior....No lootting no riots. People were handing out their provisions to foreign reporters covering the disater!
A hurricane rips through Florida "Andrew" and everything goes to hell. I applaud the people that did their best during that crisis " I realize we're not ALL Bad" but Japan has just set the bar.
God bless Japan and you and the people that donated to your cause.

Looks like the Dallas area has some talented artists! I mean some of it actually looked like art, as opposed to East and West Coast junk.

Good job, for a good cause, and it looks like a good time was had while doing it!

We need more people like you.

Compassionate, reasonable, rational, kind. It's refreshing, really. Especially after seeing all the people saying "LET THEM HELP THEMSELVES. REMEMBER PEARL HARBOR? etc. etc."

I salute you.
