Rebels kidnap Catholic bishop
MONSIGNOR Misael Vacca Ramirez, a Catholic bishop from the eastern Colombian city of Yopal, has been kidnapped and is being held by suspected Colombian rebels, church officials said today.

Monsignor Vacca was abducted early yesterday by several men who identified themselves as members of the National Liberation Army (ELN), Colombia's second largest rebel group, the officials said.
