Many people here are frail of mind and as such tend to believe in a lot of the drivel posted by well speaking posters with links to questionable sites.

I post on a well established astronomy site. On a regular basis we see newbies with a true fear of 2012 and Nibiru post questions there. They have been to other sites proclaiming doom and gloom in 2012. I hope that once they receive the true facts (or lack of) about Nibiru, they will question other outlandish claims of conspiracies.

Zacharia Sitchins date was for some time at the end of the millenium if I remember correctly, followers of his work pushed it back a few hundred years or so when they heard of the mayan calendar and thought perhaps its the same event.

Sitchin published a book, The End of Days, which set the time for the last passing of Nibiru by Earth at 556 BC, which would mean, given the object's supposed 3,600-year orbit, that it would return sometime around AD 2900.[18] He did however say that he believed that the Annunaki might return earlier by spaceship, and that the timing of their return would coincide with the shift from the astrological Age of Pisces to the Age of Aquarius, sometime between 2090 and 2370 link

Neither Sitchen, nor the Sumerian scrolls mention anything about 2012. That mayan data coming and going should have no influence on ones belief in nibiru. It would simply mean that the wild guess of thinking the Mayans 13th baktun ended on the same day nibiru causes havok were not true. They are two different prophecies that have been tied together without any evidence.


If there is any such thing as Nibiru ,we will all be long gone by the time it comes.
