Fifty years ago a man flew into space for the first time. I here lift my glass to this intrepid brother, Yuri Gagarin.

Hard to believe it has been 50 years. I may have to enjoy some Tang to mark the occasion. And yes, I actually always liked Tang. To me it tastes far better than Sunny Delight, although real orange juice is still better even with pulp.

This must be a proud day for all Russians, and well deserved. I just heard an astraunaut say that while his space capsule was pitching down to earth after his 110 minutetrip and about to crash into the ground, Yuri ejected and was parachuting down from several thousand feet. Quite the trip. I wish he were alive to tell us all about it today. He must have had nerves of steel to agree to be the first one. Wherever you are, here.s to you, Yuri!

It is a proud day for HUMANKIND, we should REALLY stop thinking in these infantile terms of territorial separation, the US and THEM mentality has proven to be ineffective and counter-productive for the evolution of mankind.
I don't feel any difference about the acomplishments of NASA - ESA - JAXA - Soviet, etc.. It's always about ME, human. I went to space, I went to the moon, I put a rover on Mars.
The sooner we aprehend our real identity, the sooner we'll be able to let this imperialistic moronity that's holding us down be something in the past
