I have recently been diagnosed with a disease known as schizophrenia but i myself would rather call it a connection to other entities or other realms as such i have heard "voices of angels" particularily related to gabriel or micheal, which many people may say are arch angels or divine beings.

The question really is, is this truly a medical disorder if the "voices" themselves call themselves "angels" or am i the victim of an elaborate HOAX. Although it ranges from even the voices of devils to my friends to family to absolute randomness, I just want to know if i am alone.

Although i am a self proclamed abductee i can not tell the dreams from reality i wonder if this is just a disorder brought upon through mental stress or other things if not even the MATRIX itself.

I have been through the hospital in my towns psych ward and onward,to try and find the answer to my own diagnosis but wonder if there could be other forces at work.

Don't wanna sound all *ucked* up and such but i feel i am at a place in my life where i need to make a choice on whether or not it is true or merely a deception on my perceptions.

I just wanna know the difference between "ETs, spirits, ghosts, maybe angels, demons, gods, life, friends, the matrix, things of myth or just a #ing stupid *ucking illness which im told even hearing once a voice in your head is a stupid *ucking for lack of a better word disabled is the only truth there is.

Sorry if i overstepped my bounds but i just need an answer. Maybe someone out there knows the truth of it. EVEN if you just call me crazy, one more wouldnt hurt.

Now by the end of this i feel *ucked just saying any response to the truth of spychophrenia couldnt help maybe im not alone i just never get an answer.

Sorry for the long read.
Truly yours J Mac

If the doctors diagnozed you, did you receive medication?
and if yes, does the medication stop or lower the 'symptoms'?

I think it would be safe to say that if everything you are experiencing is NOT coming from within your own psyche, all the medication in the world won't make it go away.
On the other hand, I'm not an expert on the matter of psychological disorders, so this is just my logic talking

Well your obviously coherent to actual communication.

I will not say your crazy because I, even though i haven't experienced the same, have thought about the what ifs, and what people would think. I vote for you to stay here with us and let it all be known. I for one will help you to at least understand what it all means, if in fact I can.

obviously you would be told things you would believe....

I think the most important thing to know would be why you would want to believe the things they are telling you.

Don't you dare apologize for writing your feelings down! no matter how long...

now, you have to understand , the responses you recieve from any person is going to be based on the individuals faith or the non-existence of their faith.

im going to message you directly because this is a bit more personal.

Ill say this...I am not going to tell you your crazy etc...

Your not alone. I have PTSD and was diagnosed after my second tour in Iraq. They are not the same thing but they are both disorders. Do not ever let anyone talk down to you. You were created for a purpose, and you are a special person. I know your asking advice from people on here and while their are many knowledgeable people on this site, the majority are not doctors or certified specialists. If you are prescribed meds for your condition, it might make you feel better to take them. Certain disorders affect people different, and if you feel violent, tell someone. Think about others safety as well. I put a gun to my head and pulled the trigger. It didn't discharge. My fiance now has to live with that image for the rest of her life. Sometimes were not in the right mindset and we need help. Never be scared to reach for help, but DO NOT take medical advice from strangers. Im here if you need anything bud.

It sounds like you are going through a great ordeal. There are many things in life that extend beyond what we percieve in the 3 dimensional experience. What I will ask you is, are the voices you hear relegated to entities that call themselves angels only or do you hear a mutlitude of different voices from everything from demons, angels, ghosts and aliens? Are your voices consistent and follow a theme or do they say random things. Did they start happening all of a sudden or did something happen that led up to the experiences? Were you born with exceptional perceptions or where you much like the average person?

Perhaps if you follow a process of elimination throughout your life, you may discover more answers. Sadly no one person outside yourself can give you the answers you seek. No person apart from yourself is having the experiences, so it would be virtually impossible for anyone to say if it is a product of mental illness or if you are a highly sensitive individual who has capabilities of tuning into more than what most people are able to.

These are hard questions. The journey of discovery can only lie within yourself.

Been there too... roulette. Not something I usually talk about. But it was at one time my way of just seeing....years ago. And I just wanted to see whether I was meant to live or not. I got my answer and have lived in full since...

Even under the best of circumstances the human brain is what you might call an unreliable narrator, but I imagine this becomes doubly true for someone whose neurochemical make-up deviates from the common profile. Being unable to determine whether the phenomena you experience are symptoms of the illness you've been recently diagnosed with, or externally occurring events you observe, seems to me to be a very difficult position to be in.

You have my sympathies.

You're not crazy because you're obviously aware of what's going on. They say a truly insane person doesn't know they're insane. However you take this, try to stay away from any pills... that's my advice to you but I may be biased because I vehemently dislike those cylindrical death dealers and would only use them as a last resort, but there are almost always natural things you can take/do to heal or suppress any ailment.

Cheers.

IMO anyone and everyone that receives a diagnosis of any kind needs to get multiple Doctors opinions/diagnosis's. Think about it do you ever just take one persons opinion and believe they are completely right? Doctors and Psychologists aren't omniscient.

I knew a girl with Schizophrenia, she was nice, and calm most of the time. She always heard things I did not. She always saw things I did not.

She told me that animals liked her. I never gave any of it much thought. She was my neighbor.

I remember thinking about how interesting it was that the pictures she always drew were of "serpent" like people. Her mom said they were "demons". She told me once that animals liked her. I never really took her seriously.

One day, I was having a bbq, and invited the family over. A crow somehow wound up flying right into my living room. I had left the slider open, so it had a clear shot. Everyone freaked out. I tried to grab it, but it was too fast, and it was probably as scared of me as I was of it.

The girl was the only one the entire time that didn't move. Until she stood up, and said, "Step back and I'll take it out of here." I didn't think anything of it, because I thought she was crazy. I went to the garage to get my fishing net, hoping to catch the bird in it. I vaguely remember her saying that it would "land on her finger" as I walked out the the door.

I walked back in with the net, and she was walking toward the slider, with the bird on her finger. She had a stoic look about her, and didn't really seem to notice everyone around her staring with amazement. She walked to the slider, and let the bird out. Oddly, the bird was extremely hostile to everyone in the room who tried to get it out of the house, But perched on her finger, it just sat there, not making a sound.

I never really knew what to make of that event. Except that I never thought that girl was crazy ever again. I guess I just decided that she was able to see and hear something I could not, and because of that, her life experiences where enormously different than mine, those experiences shaped her behavior, which is, I believe, why people called her crazy.

But she wasn't crazy, her life was just based on experiences no one else would ever be able to have.

If a doctor prescribes you pills, it might be a good idea to take them. Schizophrenia can make you very violent and can make you harm others by following "voices". It can change you for the worst as quick as you can snap your fingers. Listen to a professional when it comes to your medication....

as someone with Dis-associative Identity Disorder (previously called Multiple Personality Disorder) i would ask you this, are the voices in your head or outside your head when you hear them? i get them in my head 99% of the time but occasionally hear them outside of my head... you will know the difference...

if you have been prescribed medication i would urge you to keep taking it while finding out other ways you can 'heal' yourself... some medications may take several weeks before you notice the affects, others you will notice nothing BUT when you stop taking them is when you notice if they are working or not....... OBVIOUSLY stay away from all non-prescription drugs also, marijuana, ecstasy, lsd/acid etc

the best advice i can give is to talk to as many people as possible as sometimes the stress of not wanting people to find out can greatly affect how you deal with it all

Classic schizophrenia sorry. Take your meds and see if the voices settle down.

2 part answer:

Part 1: Masters level counselor answer:

Schizophrenia is tricky because it can devolve to the point where you've totally lost touch with reality. At that point some get violent, others just lose their ability to function. Anti-psychotics are an important way to keep a handle on things. If you don't take meds or stop taking them, by the time you decompensate it is too late and you're well down that slippery slope often recognized as insanity. That being said, you are not "crazy" as mainstream psychiatry would have you believe (still meds are a good way to maintain ability to function and contact with consensual reality and I would recommend taking them for symptom control and stability.)

Part 2: Energy Healer answer (this is from a Native American spirituality teaching)

You are in touch with a very real different layer of reality but from a distorted perspective-kind of like trying to watch a scrambled movie on a pay cable channel. I couldn't find the pertinent part of the manual I had when I was learning this so I drew my own picture:

[atsimg]http://files.abovetopsecret.com/images/member/8181131b9287.jpg[/atsimg]

There is a ball of energy that generally resides in the upper right side of our chest. In people that spend a lot of time raising their consciousness through deep meditation that ball moves over to the center of the chest and down to about the solar plexus area. This can be done intentionally but happens naturally in people that are working on raising their consciousness. Once achieved it is a state that a person can enter or exit at will. The diagonal line represents reaching that same place through drugs-especially psychedelics like mushrooms, '___'/Ayahuasca, and '___' (which is well known to mimic the effects of schizophrenia.) This is why Shamans sometimes use those substances to commune with the spirit world. The problem with that path is that it is temporary and when the psychedelic wears off the energy ball snaps back into place in the upper chest. In schizophrenia the ball of energy goes down the right side of the chest and stops at about the same level as the ideal but off to the side and it does not connect. If not consciously addressed it stays there, which is why schizophrenia is often a chronic disorder.

Spend some time in meditation to see if you can find/feel that ball of energy in your lower right torso. You can then work with it in meditation to move it back up to its normal position. If you are able to successfully do that you have "cured" yourself and have gained the mastery of movement such that you can continue on and move it over and down into its proper path. This is not a substitute for anti-psychotics in the meantime. Also, if you do this, make sure you are really feeling it and not just going through the motions.

Hope this helps. Feel free to U2U me if you want to discuss this further.
