This should not be allowed to happen. Whateve it takes. I always wonder about the weekend warriors who want to stage a coup or mount a revolution here in the US and fight Washington.
We can't even control our cops.
No disrespect intended since I ' yes sir no sir' myself. Police deserve respect but I damn well think I deserve it back. Anyone of us could have a "special circumstance" get stunned. Dont tase me bro!
I am all for whatever measures it takes to assure their own safety but what Police are doing is authority gone berserk. What we are seeing is more like episodes of "road rage" they are using pepper spray on baby squirrels and toddlers, stun gunning old ladies for sassing them back. They are not in the physical shape it takes to chase and subdue a suspect, so they stun them. Its getting out of control.
If the public does not have control over the policing of itself
how again is that different from a Police State?

Quit your crying already. You are saying the same thing over and over again. We get your point.

To everyone else, I agree. What the police did here was completely uncalled for. I'm sure they did it because
they were so damn scared of this guy. If they were good at their job, this unreasonable use of force would have been averted. No matter what happened at the top of the stairs. I am really starting to dislike cops more and more everyday. Not because of footage like this, but because of the pissy attitudes of the police I come across occasionally. It is some of the female officers that I like though.

What is wrong with people? If the crowd thought the police and security were too heavy handed with this man, why did they all stand back in Fear?

Because that is what they've been trained to do.

Soon, "the crowd" won't even yell for them to stop.

What the hell ever happened to "bobble head night"? I know that "bat day" was eventually eliminated for obvious reasons but "police brutality night"? I would imagine you can still find good seats on StubHub for that one. Call me timid but I'll watch on the tube.

Take me out to the brawl game....

In all seriousness the police went overboard. By the way, do they let coolers in stadiums now?

The police will win every time as people will just stand around shouting USA as if that is their battle cry.

Scared little hypocrites = 1,000 in numbers

Police thugs = 4

No one stepped in to help and that is the sign that TPTB have already won.

That guy should be on "Tough Enough" with Stone Cold Steve Austin!

Why? Cuz Stone Cold says so!!

Wow, that guy sure took some stuff for a bit. Finally laid down, unhurt, and let the popo do what they felt they had to do. He walked out strong and tall.

Actually, I talked to a witness today. The man was using swear words. A woman that had the only child in the section, stood up, and told him to stop swearing. When he wouldn't, she went and got security. And security told him to leave. When he wouldn't leave, security got the police to escort him out. The rest was on video.

Oh, and one more thing. He never used any force or was violent in any way,

So, I wonder if we are going to see an interview with, the Man with the Cooler, soon. I'll have to watch some news....

Oh and I almost forgot something else. At the same game that day, the police pushed an obnoxious, but restrained, 17 year old girl down the steps. If I was that girls mom, there would be heck to pay for that.

Apparently, standing up against authority is frowned upon in this establishment. I SOOooo can't wait for the day when our citizens have had enough and we fight back....wouldn't want to be a little piggy on that day....many aint gonna survive...and thats fine, they all need to be eradicated anyhow!

Out of seberal rhousand people she was the only one with enough balls to even speak out. The rest of the big macho guys were too scared to speak up much less lift a finger to help.

Revolt?

Not in this nation of cowards...............well the women might

Oh ffs. Now the cops are saying Ashley threatened to kill the park guard.
So typical police mo here. Assault an innocent person and then make crap up to cover your tracks.

"We both feared for our safety," city detective Francis Rende wrote in a criminal complaint filed yesterday. The other officer named is Lebella, but no first name is given.

The violence began when Ashley, once down the steps, tried to high-five another fan. A park staff member then appears to put his arm up to try and block the high-five, and Ashley responds by elbowing that man, whom the police report names as Travis Skibiel. It does not give Skibiel's affiliation, but says Ashley then threatened to kill Skibiel if he ever sees him again.

Travis Skibiel is the one who should be put in jail. He starts the incident by assaulting that one fan who is trying to give out a high five. There is no law against high fiving and Ashley wasn't in cuffs and was only being escorted so there is no reason to do that.

The guy with the cooler is going to be interviewed on the news tonight. I'll try to catch it, it sounded like he is claiming the beating continued after the cameras were off.
