Here's a story I saw earlier tday which illustrates one of two things......

Either a) Gordon Brown and the last Government were so greedy and living the 'goodlife' that they didn't know, or even care about the ''tangled world of finance'??

or

b) They were more Stupid than I first thought by being used to 'de-stablisie' the system in the run up to a NWO change....

The former prime minister told a US conference he had not realised the "entanglements" of global institutions.

He said: "We set up the FSA believing the problem would come from the failure of an individual institution. That was the big mistake.

"We didn't understand just how entangled things were."

Mr Brown said he had to "accept my responsibility" but added he was not the only one who had made mistakes.

I think your right, I think the former government was Greedy, they saw the potential that they could make from the Banking system and were probably only too keen to not have tight regulations on the banks. It also seems strange that, he talks about a global shadow banking system, like it was a surprise. Most people on ATS are aware of corrupt banking practices, I don't believe the former PM wasn't aware of such banking practices. They turn a blind eye (probably not a good choice of phrase when it comes to Brown) and then claim ignorance when they get caught out.

You are right to highlight his apparent Niaviety or possible ignorance especially when he then refers to 'shadow banking activities'..... ???

I know you and I possibly share different political perspectives BUT I think that politcal beliefs and divides are actually generated to keep 'you & me, and the rest of the general populas' engaged and distracted from the bigger picture ....

It is easy to be divided, I agree , Im sure if we met we would have more in common in our beliefs than what comes across on ATS. The Majority of people just want what is best for the country, yet get divided on silly issues that are not really that important in the grand scheme of things.

when you start hearing gov officials
making apologies about money
on TV, something is getting ready
to drop to the bottom.

admitting failure by a gov is something
you don't hear very often.

Sounds like Gordon Brown just got
a crash course in World Ponzi Economics.

He's not in government anymore , so I guess he feels he can get away with it now without having to take responsibility for his poor management.

it doesn't really matter if he's not in it anymore
if they still have the same policies now

And if they do, then he has already said
they won't work for the current gov either.

As you two guys are the only ones who read and got involved in this thread then I thought I'd address this reply to you guys.............

I find it amazing that for all the talk of 'shadow Governments, NWO and loss of freedoms my other thread, about the Islamic Viel's laws become active in France has created a bit of a stir........................... YET, this thread illustrating perhaps a greater threat to ALL our securities has been widely 'overlooked'.....

A poster on the other thread, Protoplasmic said in one of his/her threads about the distractions caused by those in power to keep us little people engaged whilst BIGGER issues pervade around the planet........... I think protoP is correct because there is nothing more devicive than a little religious and cultural difference........
