I am truly surprised about this.. is it a case of NOT wanting to create mass panic or just some faulty reading on the seismic meter? Either way I smell something ... They even changed the Depth !

Japan Quake

Yeah I smell something too...but it ain't what you're smelling.

Quake magnitudes are often changed once more data becomes available.

There is no cover up here, just your over active imagination.

What?? Quake sizes are always adjusted as more data comes in.

How do you not know this? Are we even turning the Richter Scale into a conspiracy?

This is what you call cover up.

It was a 7.1 but to not alarm the people of Japan it was dropped to 6.6 but those who live there know the truth.

I have a friend who lives in Japan and he says if felt powerful.

Later on it till show up again as a 7.1 or higher.

Also their sensors must be damaged by now due to all the quakes.

Agreed. Even as I heard the news that it was labelled a 7.1, I couldnt believe it because of how it barely barely registered on my own seismometer. A 6.6 that it now is, would be about right.

And yes, you can have your own seismometer. Plans are readily available on the internet.

This is good news, the less damage the better, poor Japanese...

Well, according to JMA, it was a 7.1 at the epicenter.

www.jma.go.jp...

Earthquake Information (Information on seismic intensity at each site)
Issued at 17:20 JST 11 Apr 2011

17:16 JST 11 Apr 2011 36.9N 140.7E 10 km 7.1 Fukushima-ken Hamadori

We felt it here as a 4+. Very similar to the 9.0 that hit a month ago, but we didn't move as much laterally. The epicenter felt it at the greatest strength, but the cities, towns and prefectures felt it just a bit less.

Now we have a 9.0, a 7.4, and a 7.1. We pray for no more. I moved my family out of Japan, but I remain to work. I sent them out largely due to the radioactive uncertainty from Fukushima. I still feel that was a good idea...better safe than sorry, you know? Time will tell, I suppose.

The Earthquake that hit on the 11th of Mar, was first at a 8.8.

They raised it to a 9.0.

So relax, clear you're mind. If you don't TPTB will.
