Does The Number "23" Rule Your Life?

The 23 enigma refers to the belief that most incidents and events are directly connected to the number 23, some modification of the number 23, or a number related to the number 23.

I saw the film " The Number 23" a few years ago, for some reason i decided to watch it again last night, after watching the film i decided to do some research of my own, to see if the number 23 rules my life, some parts yes it does.

My birthday: 07/06/91 - 0+7+0+6+9+1= 23
My home address: 32 = 23 backwards
My Nickname: ALPAL ( A-1+L-12+P-16+A-1+L-12 ) = 42 42/5 ( 5 letters in alpal) = 8.4 8x4=32 23 backwards.
My Work ext Number is: 8040 8x4=32 23 backwards

In numerology , surely the number 23 doesn't mean anything .Wouldn't the 2 & 3 would be added together to make 5 ?

Well, my birthday is the 23rd, and in astrology, most birthdates on the 23rd of the month fall on the cusp between two Sun signs, so there might be something to the number 23 from that perspective.

Yes, my bday adds up to 23, and 2+3=5, and the 5 actually does mean something... All these references to "the number 23" are actually references to the number 5. 23 could be a red herring. Or maybe 5 has stronger meaning when 2 and 3 are added to get to it? Does 2/5 or 3/5 or the ratio 2/5 to3/5 (or .4 to .6) or 4 tenths to 6 tenths, mean anything? My house number is also 23. Anyway, I`ve read that people with a bday numerology number of 5 have to be careful, because they have strong capabilities and will either do very well and succeed, or they will do horrible and destroy their lives.. there is no "in the middle" for us. We are destined to be great, or crash and burn miserably. That`s if you believe in birthday numerology. Seems interesting enough... sems to have about as much creedence as astrology, I guess... at least for me. The earth is at a 2.3 degree tilt on the axis, Julius Ceasar was stabbed 23 times... they say 2 divided by 3 is 666, but actually it`s .6 with a bar over it, so .6666... continuously forever.

my significant number is 24 1/2 or else 24.5...i guess that sequence has something to do with the 'energy' that is present in '11'

I never really understand topics like this.. usually I avoid them but I guess I should comment on one of them.
Numbers are everywhere. As I'm typing this, I can see 29 digits on my screen. Make that 31 now., oh, now 33.... you get my drift.
OMG, but for fun I just added them together and I got 93! This clearly is linked to 9/11 regarding Flight 93

but seriously.
If you really believe a number is ruling your life, I feel very sorry for you. Numbers are EVERYWHERE. You see them hundreds of times a day. Adding, multiplying, subtracting or doing any sort of playing around with them just means people have too much time on their hands and should be spending it doing something useful.
You could probably take any event in the history of mankind, play with the numbers of it and have it linked to something, or have it "mean" something. It's all unnecessary.

Haha lol, i don't think it works for me,

I'm 23 yrs of age as we speak. But, i was born on 9/11 (87) (adding it up i get 26, so no it does not rule my life.. 11 really does it for me.
Like i often wake-up exactly at 11:11, or when i'm awake early i often see 11:11:11 on my digital desktop clock thingy (one of those vista sidebar gadgets but then in windows 7). I was even born somewhat around 11:05/11:15 (on 9/11). My first cat died at age of 11 (human years). My grandfather died when i was 11 yrs old.

I can't name any more of them right now, but 11 is a big part of my life, i have accepted it and listen to it. Cause everytime i get to see an 11, something is going to happen (good/bad) it always differs but always happens..

Your right anything can be 23!

Almost any set of digits can be manipulated to equal 23. For instance, the number of digits in my name, 9 6 5. So, 9+6+5=20 plus the number of names in my full name, 3. So 9+6+5+3=23. My birthdate, 11/24/89 9+1+8+2=20, 4-1=3, 23. My social security number... No wait, Hahahaha. Guess how old I'll be when the Mayan long count calendar's 13th baktun cycle ends? 23. I believe that the 23 phenomenon is pure coincidence... And a kickass psych thriller.

I think number coincidences are quite interesting and if you like films with a number link you might enjoy "Knowing" if you haven't already seen it. But personally I don't believe there to be too much meaning to these numbers. If you look at your own examples sure its a little freaky in someways, but in others you have to alter to much to get 23. On that basis you can take anything and take it back to 23, you just need to keep tweaking the formula till you get there.

EDIT: Without me even thinking about it, I bet you can somehow work my name and date of birth back the to number 23, and quite posibly do the same with the 2 combined.
