When it comes to Libya, equipment approved for export from the UK has included wall and door breaching projectile launchers, crowd control ammunition, small arms ammunition, and tear gas/irritant ammunition. Sniper rifles were among the other equipment licensed in 2010. No requests for licences were refused in 2010. The Bahraini and Libyan authorities were both invited to attend two recent UK arms fairs: Farnborough in 2010 and Defence and Security Equipment International (DSEi) in 2009. Arms export licences have also been approved by the UK for sales to the governments of Algeria, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. The Saudi regime has been a heavy recipient of arms licensed in the UK since the 1980s.
Hypocrisy is an unconscious self-contradiction: a state of incongruence between one's professed beliefs and feelings and one's actual beliefs and feelings, or an application of a criticism to others that one does not apply to oneself.
“Government ministers claim they wish to support open and democratic societies in the Middle East but at the same time are aiding authoritarian regimes and providing the tools for repression," said Sarah Waldron of CAAT, "They don't just approve the sale of this equipment - they actively promote it.”

Yeah, I watched the news report. This makes absolutely no sense. How much do you want to bet Guddafi is dead?

no my friend..i'm just a concern citizen of earth...and don't like being lead into the 3rd world war by the rothschild struggle to enslave the world with there failed paper currency.
and i'm only trying to explain the real reason libya has drawn the short straw for the wests so called humanitarian mission.
Libyan leader Muammar al-Gaddafi, who was the 2009 Chairperson of the African Union (AU), has advanced the idea of a United States of Africa at two regional African summits: in June 2007 in Conakry, Guinea,[4] and again in February 2009 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.[5] Gaddafi had previously pushed for the creation of the African Union at a summit in Lomé, Togo, in 2000.[6] Having since described the AU as a failure, Gaddafi has asserted that only a true pan-African state can provide stability and wealth to Africa

Wow this post if full of stupid guys thinking the rebels are "the civilians"
They are god damn terrorists hired by the American and French governments just so they can get the oil in Libya.
If you don't see the big picture Libya has 70 million people with only 2 million the rebels and 68million supporting Gaddafi, do you think he is going to do the same idiocy Mubarak and Tunisian leader?
I say No kill the rebels! all sorted.Oh yea it won't be because they will just think of another plan to bring down Gaddafi.
Not sure libya has anywhere near 70 million people. Maybe 6 million. Just sayin. But yes, the rebels are just a very small group.edit on 11-4-2011 by mayabong because: (no reason given)
