Oh boy.

Just off the wires :

Foreign Minister Lieberman says he will bring down Israeli govt unless Netanyahu and Barak start offensive against Hamas - AP

More details :
Lieberman wants to topple Hamas

The Yisrael Beiteinu party intends to demand that the ruling Likud party apply clause 11 in the coalition agreement, designating the toppling of Hamas' rule in the Gaza Strip as a strategic Israeli target.

However, Lieberman demanded that the issue appear in the coalition agreement with Likud, and now aims to press the ruling party to apply the clause.

The diplomatic chapter of the coalition agreement asserts that "the government will work determinedly and regularly against terror groups threatening Israel and do everything needed in order to eradicate them. A strategic target for the State of Israel would be the toppling of Hamas' rule in Gaza."

Basically he said that if Netanyahu doesn't move to topple Hamas, his party leaves the coalition and basically new elections have to be done.... if his party accepts to press the issue at the next meeting next wednesday.

Is this some just bluff from Lieberman? After all, the guy is a extreme right wing nutjob, he said several times in the past that Israel should raze Gaza and bomb Iran, ect...

IMO Netanyahu will go to war before being kicked out of power.

This might calm him down :
Report: Ceasefire deal successfully brokered by UN official

UN Special Coordinator for the Middle East Roberty Serry successfully brokered a ceasefire between Israel and Palestinian factions in the Gaza Strip including Hamas, Palestinian news agency Ma'an quoted senior Palestinian sources as saying on Sunday.

Hopefully it holds.

Yes he can, his party can. He can leave the coalition and make Netanyahu government collapse.

And what did he say if he didn't say that?

Editor’s notes: The western press and even Al Jazeera have failed to report today’s demonstrations in Tahir Square, Cairo accurately. Thousands of Egyptians marched from the square to the Israeli Embassy, demanding that the current military government end diplomatic relations with Israel in wake of the recent assault on Gaza by the IDF.

Israel claims that a school bus was attacked with a mortar round this week and it was necessary for the army to respond with tanks, helicopters, rockets and a step-up of the nightly bombing campaign that has gone on for months.

Skeptics doubt Israel’s claim of an attack from Gaza, citing Israel’s propensity for fabricating threats and the bizarre choice of weapons. From an American intelligence source who has worked with Israel for decades:

Let's see if my tingly feeling is right, that Israel fears a complete topple of Egyptian army elite, which is under US payment. If Egypt becomes a Democracy, and the wishes of Egyptians are upheld, Gaza blockade will end, Israel is trying to take Gaza back under control before that happens (because there is a risk it could happen). The increase in attacks against Gazan innocent women and children is designed to cause Palestinians to retaliate with something big, to start another war.
