Why do I have to 'log in' to upload an image?

I Am ALREADY logged in, but when i go to Tools> Pictures, it asks me to log in.

What's up with that?

(and now when I try and 'reset my password' so I can log in, it tells me my user name doesnt exist. WHILE I"M LOGGED IN!!)

You have to re enter your username and password to access the media centre, not sure why
