This unwitting soul decided to cross the border at Area 51, on GLR. Drove his Dodge Magnum straight through, and started up Cammo Dude Hill.

You get warned

arrested

or shot.

Never mind all the alien stuff, it IS a military base, they have to be conscious of terrorism attacks etc.

Area 51 is BS a little old granny could walk across those orange lines and be arrested, this isn't about terrorism, it's about secrecy. secrecy the American people pay for.

Here's another interesting tale about the area 51 border, from a Tool news letter in 2006. They went up there shooting some vid for their screen projections.

LINK

Dunno if it's true but it's quite exciting!

has anyone actually ever heard of anyone crossing the imaginary line? i know i havent...i personnaly think that they have instilled enough fear that nobody would actually be stupid enough to actually do it..so honestly i dont think they would actually shoot someone if they were crazy enough to do it because whoever it was family and others would end up bombarding the base in protest...they may arrest but not kill...just my opinion

The photos they took were pretty impressive but without the Cammo dudes that were supposed to be behind them, we'll just have to guess.

Job done!

I tried it myself a few years back. Twice! And I never got as far as that stupid red boundary!

Even if there is aliens there... They are probably dissected into a gooey mess or dead!

he didnt get too far before they stopped him..moron
when i see stuff like this i wonder why they do it?!
it serves no purpose other than to give the entrence gaurds something to do during thier very borring day. and since they really have nothing to do, of course thier gunna take thier time checking stuff..gunna call all thier friends and the supervisors are gunna put thier coffee down and come on over for something to do, thier gunna make every little thing seem likes a huge deal. then there are gunna spend the rest of thier shift joking about it and more importantly the will feel the sense of renewed urgency in thier jobs....and of course it give bored people like us something to watch..maybe stuff like this is set up on purpose ..hmmm..just saying...gunna go pop some more popcorn

I saw a video where a couple of old ladies crossed the line expecting to see a fence, its actually just a few small post markers, you could easily miss them. Then the white tahoe on the hill goes tearing after them leaving a huge dust trail. Couldnt see how far in they got but they were moving at a pretty good clip.

If you cross they pull you over, call the fuzz, they come and scoop you up and take you to the station and they deal with you.

Wonder what would happen if you did a mass entry of a few thousand people. Surely they would have some major problems there. Also make sure you have media present.

Also has anyone ever tried flying a remote plane into the area. Or some sort of RC land vehicle.

Search for the endless posts already about mass walk-ins, remote control planes, vehicles, etc.
Keep in mind, it's about 11-12 miles from the GLR line to the base. Plus it ain't line-of-sight. I don't think they make RC equipment with that range.

Another classic border crossing. Even after the guy video-taping it tried to warn them. Course, a couple of grannies, what are they gonna do. I imagine they got escorted back to the line, and given a stern warning.

If you get a chance, check out my other video, where I tackle one of the little known and likely rarely used border crossings, on my dirtbike. Sorry about the camera angle, I didn't discover it was pointed downwards until much later:

Coming soon... visiting the Groom Lake Road/Area 51 border crossing on my dirtbike - and being met by two cammo dude trucks, who then follow me for the next hour or so. Still editing that one.

Can you upload the maps as photographs rather than youtube video?

Depending on the road leading to the border, the dudes will often just watch you from the ET Highway. This presumes the road doesn't actually lead into the range. Basically they know you aren't going anywhere.

Regarding the warning signs, use of deadly force is no longer at the front gate. I doubt they would ever shoot someone at the border gates. They would probably make sure if they actually had to shoot someone, it would be well inside the border, much like you wanting to shoot the intruder inside your house rather than in the front yard.

The Cammo Dudes actually can use a bit of judgment when on duty at the border. I saw a cop from England walk across the warning signs and head up the hill to the "dudes". They backed up their trucks as he approached. The cop left after they backed up and headed back to our group. I am pretty sure they can hear the conversations at the warning signs and decided not to make a huge deal out of this incident since no harm came of it. Now this idiot on the four wheeler in this YouTube video should have been arrested!Crossing the Border at Area 51
