A group of Washington, D.C. residents say they plan to leave their trash at House Speaker John Boehner’s house in the event of a government shutdown, an action their Facebook page says is retribution for the loss of city services a shutdown would cause.
Trash collection in the District of Columbia would be temporarily eliminated if Congress fails to reach a budget deal by Friday at midnight, and a growing group of 4,821 on Facebook is coordinating efforts to dump their garbage on the Ohio Republican’s doorstep. Some who joined the group don’t live in the District, but have pledged to ship their garbage to the GOP leader’s apartment if the shutdown occurs. (Fortunately for them, the Postal Service will not be affected by a shutdown.)
“Well, if he won’t allow us to use OUR TAX DOLLARS to pick it up, maybe we should just BRING IT TO HIM,” the description of the group reads, which is titled “If Boehner shuts down the government I am taking my trash to his house.”

More Info UPDATE ON TOMORROW'S ACTION (2:38pm, 4/8/11):
-We’ll meet at Capitol South Metro tomorrow at 9:30 and lead a walk toward the Speaker’s house.
-Despite the title of the rally, bringing trash is NOT REQUIRED. Bring yourself and, if you can, make a sign. Don’t bring lots of dirty, gross trash. Come in a costume if you’d like!
-Our understanding is that it is illegal to trespass beyond the sidewalk, please do not attempt get any clo...ser to his house than the sidewalk.
-We are trying to arrange for a dumpster, but cannot guarantee we’ll have it until later. If you bring trash, and the police ask that you not leave it somewhere, you may be required to pick it back up and take it with you.
-Be respectful of the neighbors. The folks that live around the Speaker are having their lives disrupted by the shutdown as well, so please be respectful to them.
-Have fun! We want to have some fun and show the country that DC is caught up in this mess and it shouldn’t be.
-If they manage to reach a deal before tomorrow morning, the event will be cancelled, so check back to this page before you leave.

Well they have you scared and your going to do what they want which is don't complain when we take things from you or else. Well with lot of people they hae taken everything already so what fear do they have left. None!! The government and corporations have now crossed the line and hurt to many to be just ignored. Anybody who wants to protest have at because I feel for you and I know everybody has been quiet to long. No violence just a showing of numbers and the lack of being scared by there fear mongering will be enough to make a change.
Awesome post, welcome to ATS, star for your post its good to see people like you on here that care enough to know whats going on around them. Thanks. How used will the people feel that are dumping the trash when at some point they realize what BlackStar99 said in his post is true?

What you're watching right now in the America and EU is the set up of it's citizens. These protests aren't about 'freedom" and "democracy"
Socialists, radicals, communists, Muslim extremists, liberals, revolutionaries, anarchists, corrupt unions, and most importantly the globalists have teamed up to take us down. How are they doing this? Under the guise of "bring down the rich" they're organizing protests, and boycotts attacking big corporations, and especially the banks to; (In their own words) "cause a new financial crisis" "bring down the stock market" and "really upset Wall Street" (This is an SEIU executive which is one of the largest unions in the U.S. speaking at a conference to union leaders nationwide)
They're trying to get enough people to bite the bait, and protest to bring down corporations that the stability of our economy is unfortunately dependant on to collape Wall Street.
When this happens, there WILL be mass chaos, looting and violence on the streets because a loaf of bread costs $50. While all the executives of the corporations that got "brought down" are cozy in a multi million dollar house, with several cars, a trophy wife, and a bank account that isn't in U.S. Dollars.
When everybody begs our government to change something, to fix it, they can finally impose what Obama, Bush, Clinton, Tony Blair, George Soros, Kissinger, and dozens of other world leaders, politicions, billionaires, millionaires, and influential people have called for openly "A New World Order"
I can show a stockpile of evidence but I'll save that until I get 20 posts and can make a thread. It's nothing that you can't find for yourselves though.
