This might be nothing, but thought I'd post it anyway just to be sure:

What is that noise at the beginning of the video? It sounds very reminiscent of something.

Could somebody with the ability to do so, isolate the sound for us?

The blue light at the beginning, is it a power transformer or something? Seem's a pretty big "flash", although it lasts longer than what I would call a flash.

it looked like little blue sparks.....almost like a large static electricity, not lightining.....

I have seen transformers blow....it can be blue.....but I would think you would see lights in the buildings go out then

S & F

I was wondering the same thing, 'this strange blue light'......

I've edited the video in at last, strange it wasn't working before. Anyway, I think it was a transformer as you can see the lights go out near the end of the first part of said vid with the "noise".

A possible answer to the blue lights are either a sub power plant have exploded. There are also an intermitent blue light flickering prior to the big one. This could be transformers also blowing up.

OK maybe , just maybe , the sound is the rotors from a RC electric helicopter that might have taken this footage. That or its a paladian beem ship. It does sound like one)

No idea Blue, the sound dos remind me of something though (that high pitch "squeel").

I'd rather we use this topic to talk about the noise now folks if you don't mind, as it's possible to talk about the light in about 12 other posts?

Dude, who is overreacting? Someone posts a video and says "strange blue light". He/she didn't know what it was, and even mentions that it could be a transformer blowing. No one (except the paladin poster) said it was anything crazy before you posted.

In fact, I think you are the one that is overreacting...

The point of this whole website is to present things that you might see as strange, and get helpful feedback on what it could be.
