I've been watching old episodes of Married with Children on This TV and I can't help but notice how much I agree with everything Al Bundy has to say on that program.

The other night they aired an episode in which he gave what IMHO is the best political speech EVER. He really hits the nail on the head pointing out that our votes don't count and that, if we ever want to see some real change in this country, we cannot win through the system TPTB have set up to control us.

Expecting to get real change from the corrupt status-quo through the system that have set up to placate us by giving us the illusion of control will always result in the chains that bind us only being fastened on tighter. The elections in this and every other so-called "civilized" country in the world are so controlled by TPTB it is impossible for an honest man to get elected to any position of real power in the world.

The speech begins at the 2:00 mark but, the whole vid is worth watching:

Maybe we should take to the streets like they are doing in the Middle East and rain down a little anarchy on the heads of those who enslave us. Show the government that they haven't taken total control over the people of this nation yet and that we still have the power to stand up to their corrupt system

The people should never fear their government, it is the government that should always live in fear of their people.

K, well, I really wouldn't go using Al Bundy as my role model
. Love Married with Children though......

Should we be protesting in the streets? Yes. But that won't happen until people are jobless, hungry, and there are no benefits to tide them over......until all hope is gone. Personally, I hate to wait until all hope is lost, because that's when things like protests turn ugly fast.

I think that unless something major happens in the 2012 election we are heading in that direction, or if the next year really spirals out of control possibly sooner. The media keeps reporting that the economy is improving.....I don't see it. My business is still slower than a few years ago, my savings is still dropping, and I'm still waiting to feel the effects of this better economy, because it isn't near me yet.

Not quite yet....at least not nationwide. Unless something major changes soon though, I feel we are on course for a little Egypt in the mid west.

Fort.

I don't toss omg's around lightly, but OMG. Thank you so much, I really needed that. This political climate just takes the fun out of everything it touches. That is unless you adhere to either the extreme Right or the Extreme Left and you get off on denouncing the entire opposition, which is in most cases is everybody but you and a few of your friends.
I don't mean you Fort.

Anyway, Al Bundy for President., what can I say. Thanks again.

Video made me chuckle, though I don't understand why people aren't reacting. Maybe this so called 'uprising' will never happen.

Somehow I suspected that the right took their socio-political inspirations from seedy Al Bundy types but I wasn't sure. Thanks for confirming that.

Maybe we just need an inspirational leader like Al Bundy to get us all riled up enough to take action.

Either that or we need them to raise the tax on beer by 2 cents to make people say enough is enough already!

Al Bundy may be lowbrow caveman like humor but, when you listen to what he has to say on the issues, he hits the nail right on the head on most issues. He gripes about the things that the average Joe in the streets cares about and that is why his message resonates to so many people.

I wonder if anyone can come up with at least ONE EXAMPLE of a time when a people were able to overthrow an oppressive government by working through the system set up by that government.

In every case I can think of, it took massive civil protests or outright civil war to overthrow oppression or bring about real change. It took massive protesting and rioting to brinng about civil rights for blacks in the US and a full blown civil war to get them out of slavery.

I can't think of a time, not even once, when people used the vote to make any real changes to the government. Voting is a waste of time IMO, as it gives us the illusion of control but provides us with only the limited choices provided to us by the two party system. The issues and the candidates have all been selected by TPTB and we only get to vote on which road to the same destination we find more pleasing.

Even when the voters decide overwhelmingly on a course of action which may go against the will of TPTB, it is either overturned by the courts or they are forced to vote on the same issue again and again until they come to the "proper" decision (As is happening in Iceland over paying off the debts for the banks).

If anyone thinks they can change the system through their vote, they are only fooling themselves.

The only way to fix the system is to destroy the system.

Man cannot EVER overthrow the system for man IS the system. Unless a fundamental shift in our thought processes occurs, we will always tear down the systems which enslave us only to build them up again. This is without fail what has happened all through history. Whether it be a Monarchy, Democracy, Republic or socialist state, no system of Government has ever represented the WILL of all it's people. There have ALWAYS been those who were disenfranchised, silenced, oppressed. This is because it is impossible for any Man or Body of Men to represent the will of all people. We are far too diverse to be governed fairly. Someone WILL be oppressed.

The problem is Man must learn to be free, to allow others to be free, and to work together as free men. No one has the right to dictate morality or social behavior to another. We are becoming too powerful and too knowledgeable for this process to continue. Today's freedom fighters fight with weapons unheard of in the past. Imagine what weapons our future freedom fighters will have at their disposal. The thought is harrowing. Imagine that rather than using a molotov cocktail to fire bomb a police station, a biological agent is used to lay waste to an entire city. Imagine the desire for freedom leading one to detonate a nuclear device built in his basement. This is tomorrow and our governments know it, thus they clamp down even harder on our freedoms hoping to eliminate the possibilities.

The simple truth is that as long as Man desires to own any part of this world, we will establish governments to protect that ownership. Through time, those governments will come to oppress those who have little as those who have most use government to acquire even more. It is a viscous cycle that will play out in any and every form of government. We MUST learn to value ourselves, each other, more than we value material possessions. We must learn to share all with all, and live without government.

We must learn to love one another. It needs to be the choice we make every moment of our day.

Otherwise, we are the trapped monkey.

Hence, the Plan at the bottom of my posts. If you get it, spread the word.

With Love,

Your Brother

Very good clip. If only people weren't so brainwashed maybe they too could realize that change within the system will not work and has never worked. It is all an illusion to make you think you are changing things while meanwhile, nothing changes.

In due time the people will awaken and we will have the change that is needed. All in due time.

Are you kidding?

Hitler took power by engeneering a false flag attack against the government (Reichsatg fire) and then having himself proclaimed absolute ruler.

It took a war involving most of the countries in the world to take him out of power, hardly what I would call working within the system. Even then, it took the US taunting Japan and then leaving Pearl Harbor open, packed neatly into a box and defenceless to get the US into that war.
