The Kennedy assasination is one of our enduring conspiracy topics. The CIA has been often rumored to have taken part or been a party to the killing. However, motives have always been sketchy at best. However, recent evidence has come to light about Kennedy and Castro. Is seems plausable that rouge elements in the CIA or national security apparatus, not wanting to accomadate Castro, could have in arranged for the assasination to prevent this.

Washington D.C. - On the 40th anniversary of the assassination of John F. Kennedy, and the eve of the broadcast of a new documentary film on Kennedy and Castro, the National Security Archive today posted an audio tape of the President and his national security advisor, McGeorge Bundy, discussing the possibility of a secret meeting in Havana with Castro. The tape, dated only seventeen days before Kennedy was shot in Dallas, records a briefing from Bundy on Castro's invitation to a U.S. official at the United Nations, William Attwood, to come to Havana for secret talks on improving relations with Washington. The tape captures President Kennedy's approval if official U.S. involvement could be plausibly denied.

It took 40 years for confirmation that JFK was secretly negotiating with Castro. What is more, JFK was carried out these negotiations without telling the CIA. We now know that JFK no longer trusted this organization. These released documents show that JFK was particularly concerned about the activities of people like John McCone (Director of the CIA) who had a foreign policy that was different from that of the administration.

I dug these up looking for information about the CIA and Groom Lake. The number of coincidences and smouldering (not quite smoking) guns is staggering. The Hunt Brothers connection to Ruby etc etc. If you ever get a change, read the Mitrokin Archives. Its an ex KGB clerk who published a book about all the documents he had read. He talks about Oswald and how the KGB feared the US would link him to them and try to porve it was a KGB op. The reality is that they thought him to be a total wack. Looking at all the evidence, he has Patsy written all over him. The other thought one has to ponder, could he have been an early victem of MK ULTRA?
