Nausea, vomitting, chills, crapping blood, malaise... radiation poisoning sounds alot like a the end result of a plate full of bad clams.

To the OP, I think the best suggestion in this thread is to see your doctor if you're ill. Barring that, have you tried not dwelling on the crisis in Japan for awhile to see if you start feeling better? The brain is the body's placebo pusher. You can think yourself sick very easily, especially if you are completely fixated on believing you have fallen victim to something like radiation poisoning.

I share peoples' concern over the effects of this radiation on America. Obviously the government's claims of how harmless it all is are completely void of anything other than patronizing nonsense. However, I also believe that the opposite end of the spectrum is way out of line as well. I son't believe we're going to see radiation sickness or poisoning in the States due to Fukushima. The reality lies in between these two extremes. I worry that in 15-20 years we will see a ridiculous rise in most cancers in the US as well as a tragic rise in developmental abnormalities among babies and children.

Interesting personal tale. I know a guy in Seattle who I used to work with who is completely freaking out over the fallout issue. The same man travels multiple times per month all over the country for his consulting work and I have rarely been in the same room with him for more than 10 minutes without him having to jump onto his cell phone for a business call, calls which I have seen last for well over an hour. The amount of radiation that he subjects himself to via flying, TSA screening machines, his cell phone, and his sun lamps (not tanning, SAD lamps in his home to conquer winter doldrums) absolutely dwarfs the amounts of radiation the West Coast has so far seen from Fukushima... yet he worries about the fallout. I rarely will talk on my cell phone, carry it in a shielded pouch, refuse to fly, and have never used any form of sun lamp whatsoever, and won't even use a microwave... you could say I am paranoid about radiation. Yet I am not worrying about this fallout having any sort of near term impact on our health.

(I would stop drinking that milk, however. My wife & I have switched our kids over to Coconut milk and give them Vitamin D pills since this tragedy began.)

OP, you don't have radiation poisoning. The initial symptoms of radiation sickness arrive very soon (less than eight hours) after an ACUTE (more than .5 Sievert over a very short period) dose of radiation.

For you to get radiation sickness from Fukushima, you would have to be within a few meters of the damaged reactors. Taking Chernobyl as an example, the people of Pripyat, who were very very close to the complete meltdown and catastrophic explosion, did not get radiation sickness, even though they were not evacuated for days after the catastrophe. The people who got radiation sickness at Chernobyl were all up ons the destroyed reactor, those who were in aircraft that flew through the radiation plume immediately over the reactor, etc.

Based on the current readings at, the levels in Oregon are currently within an acceptable, normal range. Based on my intermittent checking of the website, they have remained at levels far below that which would warrant freaking out. For even very mild radiation sickness to occur, the counts per minute reported in the yellow circles would have to be in the tens of thousands.

There are minor bacterial and viral infections which DO cause vomiting, as anyone who has ever been through elementary school can attest to. You have kids, odds are they picked up something from a classmate and then gave it to you and anyone in your family who does not have an immunity to it. This would be happening to anyone with kids, or anyone who has to be in close quarters with people who have kids, which is most people.

There is a lot of good information at this site: Pstuph The Home Of Holographic Thought . There are articles on radiation, milk water and the EPA as well as links to a lot of other informative sources.

I am having the same symptoms, It started about 3-4 days ago. I wake up every morning feeling sick to my stomach and end up vomiting. Its like a burning sensation in my stomach, after I vomit I feel fine. I sure hope this is not radiation sickness. I live in NW Washington BTW..........Good luck all

I'm willing to wager if it was radiation sickness you wouldn't just feel fine after vomitting...seems to me (not having first hand experience) of course, it would in general be an all round kind of awful feeling that doesn;t just get eased by heaving.

Just reporting from Tennessee. Many people I know here, including family, have had the exact symptoms you are describing. It happened before the Japanese incidents. My son is an RN, and says folks are ending up in the hospital with it, so please try to get enough fluids to stay hydrated. Since it's been going on for more than a few days, I would check with my doctor, for sure.

Hope you and your family are feeling well soon.

I can also confirm that SE Tennessee is having similar symptoms floating around...
Feel better OP

My mother and sister had symptoms EXACTLY as you described OP.
Except I live in SE Ontario, and according to what I can find in terms of radiation maps/readings, my area is not at all in danger.
Perhaps it's just a nasty virus, or a new strain of an old one; viruses can mutate at an incredible rate.
Hope for the best, and go see a doc.
Best wishes

To Add: After talking to them just now, my mom and sis are better now, and both went to the family physician.
Just a flu bug. Hope it's the same for you guys.

I ,too, had congestion for about a week starting a few days after 3-11. I cannot recommend going to medical doctors. Here, they are only drug dealers Who needs more poison when our bodies are under attack? I write this being 63 and without a regular doctor for years. However, I DO take a number of vitamins and natural supplements, drink filtered water, and eat the best I can. In this radiation filled world, I again have stopped eating meat and stay away from refined sugar. Here are some health suggestions I have applied during my life.
(No doctor needed!)

Diarrhea ~ Chew dry oatmeal (any that you have). Diarrhea will stop. This really works!
After High Radiation Exposure: Take charcoal capsules to rid your body of it.
Take NAC (a form of amino acid cystein) capsules to improve immune system, lungs, and prevent H1N1 Flu.
Take VitC,VitD3, VitE capsules to fight the radiation. Fresh squeezed citrus juice will also help. A reasonable source for capsules is
Try to have more fresh green items in your diet. Make a drink of using green powders. Quick and high quality (many varieties) from
What you choose to do now will help you survive what is coming. It WILL be a bumpy ride for all of us!

I personally have been sealed with the Names of the Father and Son (Yahweh and Yahshua), Revelation 14:1
Yahshua is returning SOON and no NWO can stop Him! HalleluYah!

There's a nasty stomach bug going around right now, had it myself was on the pot every ten mins or so and then bam get hit with the double and I will leave that to the imagination. Doc said it was just the stomach flu so maybe that's what it is.This is from the Mayo Clinic and lists the symptoms of Radiation poisoning.

Chew dry oatmeal makes sense, fiber. But Vit C can cause diarrhea.
Oh and your post reminded me of this: "American King James Version
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

To those who believe people are having psychosomatic symptoms, I am sure some people do, but it is a disservice to others who could be taking precautions like staying out of the rain and heavy wind, and taking kelp and other things.

Here are three examples that fly in the face of the placebo effect. First, My baby granddaughter has the same symptoms being described on this thread. She is ten months old. Second, we met with two friends from Idaho today and told them what was going on. They looked at each other in amazement, finally understanding why they have felt so strange the last few days with dizziness, bad headaches and trouble with breathing. Neither have ever felt quite like this before. Third is my own experience, that I shared earlier. Two different nights I woke to heavy rain with difficulty breathing. I had no expectations of problems from the xenon and had to look up on line info to notice how it fit the bill.

One more time, I will post information that make it clear that even small doses of radiation is not good:

“Washington, DC, June 30, 2005 – The National Academies of Science released an over 700-page report yesterday on the risks from ionizing radiation. The BEIR VII or seventh Biological Effects of Ionizing Radiation report on “Health Risks from Exposure to Low Levels of Ionizing Radiation” reconfirmed the previous knowledge that there is no safe level of exposure to radiation—that even very low doses can cause cancer. Risks from low dose radiation are equal or greater than previously thought. The committee reviewed some additional ways that radiation causes damage to cells.”

nationwide flu epidemic.. Swine flu,. bird flu,.... fuka flu

This is why canada is better then the states. When your so paranoid about being poisoned by radiation, even if your broke as # you can still go to the doctor's. Your just abounch of apranoid people. Calm down. Your making connections between things when you shouldn't be

How the hell do you know? I am so sick and tired of the people on these threads who do not use simple logic and then accuse people of going overboard. Arnie Gunderson, University of New Mexico, Berkely, cesium in the you know how to use critical thinking? I do not see anyone here going overboard and freaking out. All I see are honest questions and concerns vs. some people who are so terrified they are in denial, or just ignorant, or disinfo agents.

Here is one health recommendation I trust

I want to clarify something. I have not suggested that anyone in the US has full-blown radiation poisoning, but I do believe there are some effects being felt. I have kept a file of pertinent information for weeks ever since I noticed the MSM publishing stories that would be edited and re-edited until by the end of the day, the story had completely changed.

People's memories are so short that they can't even remember information given a week earlier because they are swallowing the current reassurances. Some of you may agree with our government, that people should not be given the truth because they can't handle it. I disagree and keep posting here to encourage people to be proactive and take precautions. Can't hurt and could help.

A relative told me that the way people are reacting reminds him of the book 1984, except instead of rewriting history and burying the truth, this time the truth is still available but people are policing themselves and purging facts from their own minds out of fear.

Neutron beams and many, many other factors have convinced me there have been serious events happen and not just a few leaks. Following is a little info, one of dozens I could pull up, to suggest that there will be consequences that we should be aware of from Fukishima and also citing the typical cover-up in these situations:

“Only one reactor blew at Chernobyl and it was only 3 months old, with new cores holding relatively little radiation; these ones have been operating for 40 years and would hold about 30 times more radiation than Chernobyl’s.”

Dr Caldicott cited a report from the New York Academy of Sciences, which said that over 1 million people have died as a direct result of the 1986 melt-down at Chernobyl, mostly from cancer. She said authorities had attempted to “hush up” the full scale of the Chernobyl disaster. The official 2005 figure from the International Atomic Energy Agency was just 4,000 fatalities.

So when people share that they are taking the precaution of staying out of the rain, eating high chlorophyll and iodine foods, etc. those people are attacked as fanatics. That is just wrong.
