Does your statement mean that you could have just added the Bush clones to the Yale Law list and there they would be forever more? Even if its not true? Are there no safeguards against this at all?

Yep, you or I, could add whatever we want to wiki. There are other random people, or wiki itself, that will come through and correct the page. Sometimes there is a little icon to indicate that a fact or rather a claim requires citation.

Once, I came across a randomly inserted pornographic quote, it was removed within a few hours, but needless to say it wasn't factual to the topic.
