Yeah, so I guess if you are a pissed off taxpayer, concerned about the National Debt, unable to successfully,
jump the hurdles of the current Speculation/inflation crime, or are unemployed, you are a terrorist?

Give me a break. that would be the population of greater than 60% of American Citizens.

So, who would those candidates be considered terrorists to? Foreign Investors? Or Traitors? Both?

C'mon,,,,,the flag is up folks. The Traitors" jobs are on the line and they know it.
This is a last ditch effort by them to accuse the innocent, and discredit the opposition. The next thing you know,
is that they will encourage an "Al Quada" Mosque in your back yard, and then tell you that you are "Religiously
Intolerant" when you complain. This is known as putting American Citizens in a "Damned if you do,damned if
you don't" Catch 22 Situation. It is a method as old as the Hills. In fact so old, that it should be buried before it stinks any further.

Just to show how much class we have, we should even give it a "21 Gun" salute. Just Silly Really

*hand goes up*
by their definition, well over 50% of the
population is a terrorist.

But luckily, I don't use their
definition. So I guess that
puts me on the red list.

Patriotism, It's badge I wear with honor.

I run a one man militia. The free citizen of North Carolina militia. I take any religion, political party, sex/sexual preference, age, height, weight, race, wealth or social status. My militia has only one rule. The citizens have to be able to have access to the same weapons that the local and state police have. As long as this system of firearms checks and balances is in place then there does not exist a police state and it is a free state and my militia takes no action. I keep the scales balanced and the playing field even and level.

I guess that this would put me on the list. Count me in. What did I win?

Just a sample from the link. I doubt its far from the truth...So basically anybody interested in asking questions or defending themselves.

Just a hunch, but when they mention those characteristics, they're talking about actual extremists. For example, let's say someones telling you about the characteristics of OCD (Obsessive–compulsive disorder), one of which could be excessive hand washing or nail biting, they're not saying people who bite their nails or wash their hands, even frequently, are mentally ill, but it may be a symptom and a sign of illness. Do you understand this point I'm trying to make?

Oh, I do. And it is just that rationale They promote. Lessee... The Social Security Number would never be used to identify a person. Where has THAT gone? The list is longer than that but you get my point. If you give an inch, They WILL take a mile.

Soon that will be used as an excuse to harass the common citizen.

But if it gets you to sleep at night, you keep telling yourself that.

Looks like there may be two of us here in NC?

The journey of 1,000 miles begins with a single step. It would seem you've taken the first step as have I!

Good to meet a fellow terrorist!

Expressions of libertarian philosophies (statements, bumper stickers)

Do Ron Paul 2012 signs in my front yard count and a "Don't Tread on Me" flag?
... Check

Second Amendment-oriented views (NRA or gun club membership, holding a CCW permit)

As of 3 days... Check.

Survivalist literature (fictional books such as "Patriots" and "One Second After" are mentioned by name)

No but those books do interest me... Half Check?

Self-sufficiency (stockpiling food, ammo, hand tools, medical supplies)

Common sense makes you a possible terrorist? Imagine that.
... Check

Fear of economic collapse (buying gold and barter items)

Well I would like to purchase some gold when I have enough money to spare, so... Half Check.

Religious views concerning the book of Revelation (apocalypse, anti-Christ)

So common adherence to the Christian religion makes you a possible terrorist? Good to know... Check.

Expressed fears of Big Brother or big government

Well of course, that is why I am here is it not? ... Check.

  Homeschooling

So educating your kids the way you see fit makes you a terrorist? Once again common sense fails today. Luckily I've been homeschooled since I was in 8th grade and continue to do educate myself online... Check.

Declarations of Constitutional rights and civil liberties

Well... Check.

Belief in a New World Order conspiracy

One hell of a big... CHECK.

Yay so I'm a potential domestic terrorist even though I believe everyone has their own rights and for me to violate their rights I am breaking a sacred trust between individuals, I take care of myself so I am not a dependent on the system, I educated myself at home thus making my knowledge more expansive, I know my rights and constitutional protections, I believe in self-defense, I distrust supranational entities performing unconstitutional actions against the United States Constitution, believe that I know what is best for me and not big brother, am a Christian by the grace of God, would seek to protect my assets and investments, express a political belief which our founding fathers expressed and am able to express with the protections guaranteed under the First Amendment (until Graham gets a hold of it), and plan for the future in the event of a cataclysm.

Well if all of that makes me a 'potential domestic terrorist' then so be it.

I agree...
just posted in another thread earlier tonight- discussing the Gov'ts hiring of trolls to spam/spread propaganda/disinfo on social networking sites/blogs/etc- with the same point:
DESPERATE times call for DESPERATE measures.
They're SCAREDYYYY!

AND THEY SHOULD BE.

And yep- add me to that no-fly list!
Fine with me considering the airlines have gotten completely out of control with fees and junk,
and now the planes are just randomly falling apart mid-air?!?!
FFFFFFF that..
I'll stick to 'rollin' with the homies' in my new SUV, thank you very much!
which reminds me...
Anyone know where I can get a,
"Proud to be an American...TERRORIST"
bumper sticker?

looking into the sources , it seems that this has been reposted a few times since March 30,2011. tracing backwards from the OP's link to networkworld, we are given the statement:

An 18-year veteran in law enforcement warned to beware of Homeland Security training that is being pushed to local law enforcement. James Wesley Rawles recently posted on AxXiom for Liberty some very disturbing trends in law enforcement training. He reports a shift in focus in the last 18 years from local community to a "federally dominated model of complete social control" coming out of, not surprisingly, Homeland Security. More specifically, the long-reaching DHS arms of TSA and FEMA have been pushed heavily in the last two years to local law enforcemen
so next we look up the link to the AxXiom for Liberty , and we find that this article has also been reposted by 'James Wesley Rawles' from SurvivalBlog.com
which then leads us to the seeming end of the road as this the original article.
whether he is the original writer of this article, i can only speculate at this point, although i did look up his about info at the web page:

I'm Jim Rawles, a survivalist author. I'm a former U.S. Army Intelligence officer and technical writer. I now work as a full-time blogger, retreat consultant, and freelance writer. SurvivalBlog is my creation, but because of SurvivalBlog, I'm part of something bigger: a virtual community of some of the most brilliant people that you could ever meet. Despite our differences, we all have an interest in preparedness.

so next i wiki'ed his name to see what other info may be gleaned...

James Wesley Rawles or James Wesley, Rawles[1] (with the comma) is a survivalist-fiction author, blogger, and survival retreat consultant.[2] Rawles is a Christian conservative.[3] He is the editor of SurvivalBlog.com, a blog on survival and preparedness topics.[2] Rawles is the author of the survivalist novel Patriots: A Novel of Survival in the Coming Collapse.[4]

en.wikipedia.org...

and did find one peculiarity which is that James Wesley Rawles is the author of one of the Survivalist literature books listed in the article..

by all account it seems that James Wesley Rawles is a full time blogger and author and is not the person that gives the first person account within the article.

I was watching a documentary earlier today- forgot which one, I'll ETA when I find it...
It was one of Alex Jones' and they actually showed one of the training videos that ALL police/law officers must see, and the documentation to accompany it...
saying, almost verbatim, what the OP posted.
