Most (in)famous for proposing a wide-ranging plan to discredit the defenders of WikiLeaks, the security company HBGary Federal recently pitched the Pentagon’s premiere research branch on a “Paranoia Meter” to hunt down the next Bradley Manning

HBGary are proposing measures to help secure confidential information by monitoring certain types of behavioural traits whilst people are operating a computer. I doubt this will work as there is always a way around things. History speaks for itself.
This company got itself in a hole lot of trouble with anon when they planned to release confidential information on anon members to the fbi. The had 2 terabytes of info hacked and their emails and security code put online. some of these emails were revealing enough to get lawyers debarred.
A project they were working on would allow coperations to make hosts of fake online accounts to sway public opinion with blogs, twitter and facebook reccomendations. They do a lot of work for the government, and make trojans and the like..
The paranoia meter was not just for defense it is planned to be used in different types of business situations too. To help locate the hacker inside...

“[W]e will have a rootkit on the host that monitors keystrokes, mouse movements, and visual cues through the system camera,” Barr pitched. “We believe that during particularly risky activities we will see more erratic mouse movements and keystrokes as well as physical observations such as surveying surroundings, shifting more frequently, etc.” He called his proposed creation a “‘Paranoia Meter’ — a human factor and activity correlation engine.”

Ah, so that's who HBGary are. I wondered why he kept getting mentioned on ATS with an assumption us normal folk would know who he was.

(edit: by normal folk I mean anyone who isn't an American involved in conspiracy culture - no offence intended!)
