On the other hand... reams and reams of evidence to back up why it never happened!

Then by all means, present some instead of merely claiming it exists. All you have offered so far is opinion.

What in your opinion, is the most compelling piece of evidence you have seen that has convinced you that the moon landings were hoaxed?

I honestly do not know if you are being serious or not, so I will continue this comment under the impression that you are being serious. I did not read hardly any of your comment, and do not need to, because I know what 'The Onion' is.

Do you know what 'The Onion' is? The Onion is for entertainment purposes, and not for purposes of facts. They do not care if it is a fact or if it is complete nonsense. All they care about is, 'is it entertaining?' It is a news satire. A spoof. i.e. it is not real.

As a simple comparison-
The Onion compares to real news, in the same way that a 'Mockumentary' movie compares to a real Documentary.

the onion is just one link ........ oh every link is for entertainment.. look... you decide...info is never fact...it allows you as the reader to decide....guess you did this. now for what it matters ... I don`t care why who where..all i care is that i have my thoughts and you have yours..now between us maybe we can have a serious debate on whether it is real or not. not who is right or wrong....its about finding the facts, like i said in a earlier post...some thought the world was flat and found out different....what if we/you find out later that the moon thing never happend.. does that mean you were wrong or that maybe you were not opened minded like some......never believe what you read or here, always assume that it could be what you least expected. and then you may find the truth to nothing. Peace

"What other explanation could there be?" Armstrong asked. "It's all right here. Everything is all right here if you'd just open your damn eyes and see!"

Added Armstrong, "I suppose it really was one small step for man, one giant lie for mankind."

NOW WHY WOULD I WANT TO DEBATE THAT?

You need to listen to what people are saying to you mate.......Neil Armstrong never said that, "The Onion" is a satirical website ie: it makes things up.......parodies real life.......just like a comedy sketch show on tv.........you should feel suitably embarrassed by now.

Because you are suffering from a delusion that there is literally no evidence to support it. I mean only a few posts ago there was this posted.

How is that not evidence? Please explain it to me.

DOES THIS MEAN THAT THEY ARE THE AUTHORITY ON THE MOON MISSIONS.. NO.. I THINK IT MEANS THAT THEY comprised ALL THE INFO AND JUST REPORTED ON WHAT THEY WERE TOLD.IT DOES NOT MEAN THAT IT WAS FACT. NOW MAYBE IM WRONG, BUT I WAS NOT THERE AND YOU WERE NOT THERE SO I WOULD DENT TO BELIEVE THAT THEY WERE NOT THERE SO SPECULATION ON YOUR AND MINE AND THERES DOS NOT MEAN IT HAPPEND. INFO IS GREAT NOW USE IT TO FINJD THE TRUTH AND QUIT TRYING TO DEBUNK WHAT IS NOT KNOWN. I have respect for anyone that replys to any post. more we know the more we might be able to find the truth.none of us now thats why were on ats to get facts and opinions and wrong info..then maybe we may learn the truth thru knowledge..Peace.

now I may be wrong and all of you that think i`m nuts that is fine. the onion..and all other forums may be wrong and its just for entertain ment onlt that fine.. maybe we did go to the moon.. maybe we did not. I believe we did not. but i listen to all and everyone has valid reasons of why and when. I`m not convinced as of yet but i will continue to read everyones post and learn from them all.... Peace

embarrassed no.... learned something new yes. thats why i`m on here. now if you don`t ask the question, you don`t get the ans. Now i stand corrected. delete theonions. com link. now with that in the past, can anyone tell me this. is this for entertainment reasons:

Looking down from the top of the gantry on to the simulated Lunar Surface. James Hansen writes: "To make the simulated landings more authentic, [Donald] Hewes and his men filled the base of the huge eight legged, red and white structure with dirt and modeled it to resemble the moon's surface. They erected floodlights at the proper angles to simulate lunar light and installed a black screen at the far end of the gantry to mimic the airless lunar "sky." Hewes personally climbed into the fake craters with cans of everyday black enamel to spray them so that the astronauts could experience the shadows that they would see during the actual moon landing." (p. 375) From A.W. Vigil, "Piloted Space Flight Simulation at Langley Research Center," Paper presented at the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, 1966 Winter Meeting, New York, NY, November 27 - December 1, 1966. "Ground based simulators are not very satisfactory for studying the problems associated with the final phases of landing. This is due primarily to the fact that the visual scene cannot be simulated with sufficient realism. For this reason it is preferable to go to some sort of flight test simulator which can provide real life visual cues. One research facility designed to study the final phases of lunar landing is in operation at Langley. ... The facility is an overhead crane structure about 250 feet tall and 400 feet long. The crane system supports five sixths of the vehicle's weight through servo driven vertical cables. The remaining one sixth of the vehicle weight pulls the vehicle downward simulating the lunar gravitational force. During actual flights the overhead crane system is slaved to keep the cable near vertical at all times. A gimbal system on the vehicle permits angular freedom for pitch, roll, and yaw. The facility is capable of testing vehicles up to 20,000 pounds. A research vehicle, weighing 10,500 pounds fully loaded, is being used and is shown [in this picture]. This vehicle is provided with a large degree of flexibility in cockpit positions, instrumentation, and control parameters. It has main engines of 6,000 pounds thrust, throttle able down to 600 pounds, and attitude jets. This facility is studying the problems of the final 200 feet of lunar landing and the problems of maneuvering about in close proximity to the lunar surface."

Present some? What, like list 20+ youtube clips and a shed load of internet websites.... I don't need to present evidence. This is not one piece of information I've discovered, that goes against all others beliefs. It's widely covered and available to all !

I have listed my reasons for saying it's fake, and it's my belief because having watched all those clips and read all that info, and used my own logic, that I have pieced together enough parts to the puzzle to make me see that it never happened.

It was a documentary, which showed the whole story of the tests, the deaths, the making of the fake moon set, and how the masses, including those on the mission were hoodwinked into believing it was real. I can't recall when I watched it, or on what channel it was, but I certainly didn't imagine it.

But as I've said, there are stacks of youtube clips, and having watched them all, I have taken all the pieces and these have confirmed the belief I originally had, that it never happened. The same way I've watched all the 9/11 info, and realised my beliefs on that were true too... It was an inside job. I've also followed all the info on the GOM oil disaster, and know what has gone on there.

The thing is, we are lucky these days to not just be subjected to the MSM lies. Youtube and ATS enable us to gather so much more information and if we sift through it, and ignore the junk, we begin to see the truth. If it was just the MSM that gave us information, we'd all be void of evidence to back up our own personal beliefs. Thank heavens for the internet, that's what I say. And thanks to the internet, I can find evidence to back up my belief that the moon landings never happened!

Here's a dodgy video clip.... How many times can you spot the flash from the wire cable hoisting him up!!
Check it out at 1.30 when the guy runs towards the camera!

Check out all these images... Show me where the antennea are that stick out of the top of the astronauts suit?
There appear to be none... So I say the flashes we see are cables glinting in the light. These cables hold the astronaut up, so he can fake moon walking!

They actually did go to the moon but when they arrived there was a UFO waiting for them, they were told to not come back, there are a couple of reasons I have heard why they were told this but the one that is most prominent is that the moon is under complete quarantine from our species due to a contamination factor, apparently there is an Ark of genetic material situated somewhere on the moon........this is why no one has gone back!!
This is why the whole event was done on a screen stage, they are not going to let us see the UFO now are they

Here's another dodgy video clip.

How many times do you see the flash of the cable holding him up? About 3/4 times - especially at 0.14

How good are amatuer telescopes etc? just wondering as they left things up there, like the moon buggy etc... is it possible to see any of the things up there? surely that would prove it either way

One last post here for those who sayit was technical not possible. You are right, america was unable to make it, but the Germans had "Vergeltungswaffe 2" in 1944, developed by Werner von Braun. He (Yes a bad Nazi) built the damn Saturn V for the underdeveloped Americans.

V2 Motor

A interesting fact is, every little design change of this "motor" let the Rocket explode. So at the end they used exactly this construction in large.

This damn Weapon was developed in the time of "silent films" and you think it was not possible to build a moon Rocket 1967 when this was 1944?

Saturn 5 Engine:

But as we now, many people like it more to believe then to know, so do what you want. Peace out!

In other words, you refuse to use any sort of critical thinking when you see something on the internet. Please, for your own good, when you see something on YouTube, be just as skeptical as if you had seen it on Fox or MSNBC. Remember, you were using The Onion as a source.
