April 1st

Just like Valentines Day/Mother's Day/Fathers Day and the like that have been concocted to serve no other purpose other than to line the pockets or create havoc by higher powers, I truly am the Grinch of all things fun, but trying to sort through things on this website without actually going to the source or looking at a date is pretty annoying a few days after such a day as April 1st

So if you want to partake in such a blight on the 1st day of a new month then do so without filling this site with your useless drivel.

If people can keep track of them and alert people to the fact that they are so people aren't wading through...posts that have no reason to be accessible after the pranks are over, then sure let there be fun, but it should fizzle out after a week or so without them appearing again just because people are actually debating something that is known to be false.

Some of the April fools threads i read, the OP would post that it was an April fools joke right before April fools is over. I think it's up to the actual people to read through the thread and find the post pointing out that its a hoax.

Unfortuntly some don't hence why some of the threads are still going. On this part i do agree, i don't think they should keep getting replies even days after.

I agree with the OP. On a site such as this that can have a rather large amount of whacky ideas at times, it is already hard enough to determine if someone actually believes the crap they are saying or not.

Then we have a Friday. It is nothing special. It is just another Friday. Due to the date of this particular Friday, some believe that it is Ok to generate a Hoax. Some were obvious and amusing, but not all of them. Also, due to this date, even if the OP was not creating a 'Prank Thread,' there were still replies added to some threads that claimed the thread was a prank.(even thought it was not).

There was also another problem associated with the date. Some 'Prank Videos' were released on other sites, but then someone on here might post it without realizing that it was initially meant as a prank.

Personally, I have not came across any now since that day, but I can see how it would be irritating and confusing to someone who came online the next day. Any and all prank threads should have been closed that same night.

My comment is even a bit confusing, and that is because the day itself was also confusing.(as far as being on here)

I hear what the Op is saying but I can not agree. Lets face it there is more "useless drivel" on this site posted every every day than there was on Friday. More so a lot of the joke Threads were just blatantly obvious. "Charlie Sheen has AIDS" is an example.

Sure they were a nuisance to wade through but so are many other posts/threads. I say just take it in stride and chalk it up to the day.

For those who despise April Fools just remember this you do not have to deal with it for another 361 days now so .....................

This is true. I actually made a joke to the OP as how when his thread/joke comes true he will be hailed as a prophet here on ATS.
