Police Censuse check points.UK

I went to a friends for dinner. he said have you sent the censuses form back. I said yes, why? he said on the way home from work. the buss was stop’t by the police. and they where asking people if they had sent in the censuses. they where stopping car to. OMG! we are in a police state with check points to make shore you are registered with the censuses. what would they do if you said no? he said they where checking up to. I just wont to scream! has any one else herd of this? it was in UK Birmingham oldbury on the 404 buss. Wednesday. (before April 1st!)

the form said the people in the house on that day! so if I had stayd out of any home for that day. I would not have to put my self on the form. it is what the wording says?

sorry but this has to be a hoax. i filled mine in on the 30th i think (it had to be done on the 27th or as soon as possible afterwards) but there is no way the police would be out stopping traffic and asking people if they had filled their cencuses in!!! I know the UK is getting bad, but its not that bad yet
