I didn't know where to put this link. It's a document report of the congress about the threat on an EMP device attack against USA. That's interesting; Read this. (and sorry if it's in the wrong forum)

Its certainly interesting, and is not far fetched.

This is in my opinion a genuine risk, not just from your report but from my own awareness. there were Solar storms back in the 80's that shut down areas of canadas infrastructure and this was not any intended strike. I t was a freak of nature. But out that capabiltiy in the heart of a major US city or even here in the Uk and choas would ensue.

There certainly needs to be some form of action plan put in place as teh risk of an orchastrated attack occuring.
