Guys,

You do realise that there are major exercises going on at the moment in the UK?

www.mod.uk...

In order to get the heads-up on the activity then view or join the following aviation enthusiast forums.

forums.airshows.co.uk...

forums.airshows.co.uk...

www.fightercontrol.co.uk...

It still puzzles me that people get so excited about witnessing routine exercise activity and think that the military are up to something?

Does not explain massive movements of aircraft at night and above cloud cover. Though I was thinking some of this movement may have been part of the men and equipment exit from Iraq.

And as a sidebar, the military exists only to entertain us?

It it called night flying. Lakenheath and Mildenhall units are regular night flyers and especially the Special Operations Group at Mildenhall. Again check out the the likes of Fighter Control aviation forum. Note the monitoring of movements on the likes of Plane Plotter and SBS, etc. Also the monitoring of the Air Traffic Control communications on the radio section.

If you had Plane Plotter you would be able to monitor the movements in your region.

www.coaa.co.uk...

RAF Marham will also conduct regular night flying with their Tornado GR4s.
