I will be honest...

I am a 34 year old married white female with 2 children. Obama had MY VOTE almost right up to the polling place. I had sat through and listened as some family and friends gasped when I discussed thinking he may be the man for the job. I didn't care. It was/is MY VOTE. I pointed out his glowing points, his grand ideas for making the world a better place. I WANTED a better change, a better world for us all, and I didn't give 2 halves of a damn if he was so black he was purple. It DIDN'T matter to me.

HE himself changed my vote. Not his color and not Kenya being hollered in the background. Just the man and his silver tongue.

I will be honest again...

I am sick and tired of hearing race baiting, and pretty damned fed up with seeing the race card pulled daily. How's that for honest? How about the idea that people can actually dislike a president, his attitude, his job capabilities, his # eating smile while the world goes to hades in a handbasket, without looking at his color?

IMO, there is enough there to be displeased with... no need to pull out the tired raggedy race card..

And thats about as real as it gets, thank you

America used to discuss issues.

The policy of greater sin was used to make the average citizen worth contempt.
It's simple really. If one is unsure of one's position in the after life; just get
everyone else to do more evil than you. That was the plan.

I've read many threads here on ATS explaining that the secret masters
of this planet are very spiritual, but they don't want that for us.

For instance peple used to know this one.

"Do not blaspheme God or curse the ruler of your people.
-Exodus 22:28

Wereas these days one can hardly find anyone who has
anything but curses for our rulers.

This has become so prevalent as to become normal.

    criticize his policies = ok
criticize the candidate while running = ok
criticize the legacy after they leave office = ok

talking bad about our ruler while in office = bad

I didn't make the rules.
I'm just pointing out what may be going on.
Our leaders have to represent us to the world.

A person like Clinton goes to another country and that leader can say
"why should I listen to you? Your own people don't trust you."
It makes governance very very hard.

So, what you are saying is that you are the only person on God's green earth who is not racist? Everyone else is a "pretender"?

If that is the actual case, then how did Obama AND Biden wind up in the White House? Here we have black and white right? And if everyone is racist, then the black folks hate Biden. It would be an impossible ticket to run on and win, yes?

So how did that happen? And why didn't it tear a hole in the space/time continuim?

The United States is ruled by a Military and Intelligence Complex and it's appendage corporations and is slowly doing away with every constitutional freedom and protection we once had while steadily driving us into bankruptcy and perpetual war and Mr. Obama has not done one thing to alter that course.

You might want to get off that left/right, black/white hero worship soap box you are on to take a real hard look at the world you live in and where it's heading.

I love it,and your right, but you hate obama becuase he is black aswell,am i right?

No your wrong. As PT pointed out why he hates Obama, you are conveniently ignoring how he also said it is the same reason he has hated every President since Nixon. Well, every President since Nixon happen to be White. So did he hate those Presidents because they were White and Obama because he is Black (half black)?

It is possible to hate others because of their actions. Their actions are not predetermined by skin color.

So you make a thread saying people do not hate Obama because of his actions, but simply because he is Black. Then in this quoted post you say you are tired of people playing the race card?? You pulled the race card. It is what your thread was about.

You say, if I am understanding correctly, that people hate him because he is black? Did they hate President Lincoln because he was black? Oh wait he didn't look black. Thats right Obama isn't our first. They hated him for working to free the slaves but they did get the last word since he was given the odd colored coin. Personally I don't hate him at all. No I don't care for the fact that he is just another pawn or that he is just another politician that lies and works for big business, but hate, I don't even know the man.

Exactly...you beat me to it...the POTUS is supposed to be a LEADER and a public SERVANT, never a RULER. The American Revolution was waged to free us from a RULER.

This one think he's an EMPEROR. I evaluate people based on the content of their character, not the color of their skin.

i'm pretty sure a large majority of those who don't like obama...don't like him not because he's black but because he's a pawn for the military industrialists and big corp's who want nothing more than to snuff out our local businesses and have us all relying on them...he represents "big brother" to most people who don't like him...

Ditto!

I say the answer to BushObama is to support someone who will vow to nationalize energy and banking. Imposed position limits on commodities trading and to remove energy trading altogether. And to direct the industrial military complex to destroy the OPEC cartel. If they refuse THROW THEM IN PRISON FOR LIFE in 23 hour lock down 24/7 365 with no contact with the outside world. If media hacks claim it would be a throwaway vote.... protest them personally, hound them everywhere for they are the enemies of the common citizen.

Exactly,
now we're getting it.

Instead of all these personal attacks
focus on the issues and the ideas being used.

Maybe the choice of "ruler" was appropriate to illustrate the point.

I am not racist in the slightest bit...I was watching the House or Reps on tv a few days ago, and I remember thinking to myself, "Man, I bet Jesse Jackson, Jr. would make a pretty good president," after hearing him speak. It's easy to say that anyone who dislikes Obama is a racist, and it's also ignorant.

I will just say one more thing, and leave the rest up to my fellow ATSers...The only reason many people are claiming that they want to see his birth certificate is because he has yet to prove he is even eligible to be president. I don't know what planet you're from, but that's a big deal. This is something that was brought up waaay before he ran for president. It was brought up during his run for senator in Illinois. So do you defend him for using US tax dollars to pay for his legal fees, while he fights the birth certificate issue, instead of just releasing the dang thing and letting it go at that?

Unfortunately, I was one of the many people sucked in by Obama's rhetoric. It was only after he was in office did I start to despise him...I mean if I was racist, would I have voted for him? One of the biggest mistakes I've made recently tbh, although things would be just as bad no matter who was in office. Just my two cents.

I don't dislike Obama because he is black. I do, however, get fed up with the "it because he is black" card being played all the time. It is offense and low ball politics. The vast majority of folks couldn't care less what colour or sex someone is, in this day and age. It says more about them than anything else if they do.

I also have an inclination that a lot of Americans voted for Obama because he is black. It made them feel good about themselves and proved to them that they were not racist. This is a really stupid reason to vote someone into office. It would be like voting for a candidate who is gay, even though you don't agree with much of anything they say, because they are gay.

I don't think most Americans are European Socialist at heart, but I think Obama is. That is why I don't like him.
