I will be honest...
I am a 34 year old married white female with 2 children. Obama had MY VOTE almost right up to the polling place. I had sat through and listened as some family and friends gasped when I discussed thinking he may be the man for the job. I didn't care. It was/is MY VOTE. I pointed out his glowing points, his grand ideas for making the world a better place. I WANTED a better change, a better world for us all, and I didn't give 2 halves of a damn if he was so black he was purple. It DIDN'T matter to me.
HE himself changed my vote. Not his color and not Kenya being hollered in the background. Just the man and his silver tongue.
I will be honest again...
I am sick and tired of hearing race baiting, and pretty damned fed up with seeing the race card pulled daily. How's that for honest? How about the idea that people can actually dislike a president, his attitude, his job capabilities, his # eating smile while the world goes to hades in a handbasket, without looking at his color?
IMO, there is enough there to be displeased with... no need to pull out the tired raggedy race card..
And thats about as real as it gets, thank you
