Must be an AOL poster.

I don' think invading is a good idea and exposing our troops to hihg levels of radiation.
Obama is spreading us thin already.

The above statement is what I was getting at and trying to show that there are places in the world we should be and there are ones where we should not be. Open your mind a bit. Japan needs to be brought under control and this is not brush fires. It is a nuclear incident with widespread consequences...

Why, as a coalition of the willing, is there not a presence in Japan? Why cant NATO or the UN escort the workers and engineers that are needed to be non-biased and find a solution and contain this? I am simply trying to ask what we should do to get the truth and get this resolved.

Epic Fail!

Invade Japan - are you out of your mind!

That is not going to stop radiation - someone woke up under the bed
this morning!

You're kidding right? Invade so we can take over the cleanup and supposed containment? Why couldn't we just help them? Aren't we already even if limited. Guns won't solve this problem.

I know what you mean. I dont think invasion is the way. I think the issue needs Sapiens Sapiens support from the entire world where ever it can come from. If another country invades it then will they still try to fix issue so why not fix issue now?

I dont think you were being non compassionate to the situation at all, I think you are trying your best as many to problem solve this major issue.

Be well

Hey there esdad ... this has to be one of the weirdest suggestions I have ever heard (and that's saying something considering where we are).

On the assumption that you were being serious ... why on earth would you think 'invasion' was the answer to the situation ?

My 'gob' is thoroughly 'smacked' ... whilst I'm a huge supporter of thinking outside the box ... sometimes it's better to leave an idea in there and superglue the lid down ... just in case it escapes out into the wild ... this is one of them ideas

Quick get the net ... second thoughts maybe a tranquilizer gun would be more appropriate ... we don't need ideas like that on the rampage and running wild

I'm only joking with you ... but come-on ... 'invasion' ... really ?

I think they need to evacuate the whole island for some time until the REAL OK is given... And depending on air movements this could cause west coast US to be displaced. And if the populace is experiencing radiation sickness then were do they go to be quarantined?
Prayers are for sure with them us ALL

This is even more insane. Do you know how many people this would involve moving? How, exactly, do you propose evacuating the 103 million people that live on the main island of Japan?

I guess my name is not John Stewart so no one can see the sarcasm in this post that I created.

They are in uncharted territory there. I feel strongly that the world cannot stand by and let them go down alone with honor and allow it to kill a beautiful country and its people. It also can have long ranging effects around the worked so since the world stage is so eager to be in everyone else's business why are we not in Japan.

Please read this article and tell me if everything is going to be ok...

Why didn't they invade Ukraine when Tshernobyl blew up? This is a rather silly idea. How would a full scale war less the disaster?

China, I mean what else can be done its not safe there. I was watching on tv how they dont want babies drinking tap water in some areas so they need to leave. EA needs to start considering mass population movements anyway NOW! MAYBE INSTEAD IF BUILDING WAR CRAFT, EMERGENCY CRAFT SHOULD BE BUILT FOR AIR AND WATER AND LAND SUPPORTS.... What happens if half US population gets displaced... Mexico or Canada, Gotta work together in these times gotta!

The US military had in place a plan to evacuate SK to Japan in the even of a nuclear attack from NK so why can it not be done in the same fashion?

I am not suggesting a military operation to occupy but a humanitarian effort to save the people of Japan from their won government which is what every major military conflict that the UN/US/NATO has been involved in since WW2.

Take a look at this thread if you need proof that there needs to be intervention...

I guess the word invade was the wrong to use. I think people should read the thread and not just the headline to see why I wrote this. I am saying is it not time for the world to intervene since this is not going to affect only Japan?

Sure! And lets launch simultaneous attacks on Iran, China, Russia, and you know, I think the Canadians have been looking at us funny too.

Lets just attack everyone, because attacking people is the solution for everything.

The problem is that you have been so screwed up by propaganda and television that you dont know your death is certain, you will die. And so it makes you a coward, always mewling for safety.

And secondly that violence is the answer for all threats. If its scary, shoot it. Or try to.

Get some some spirituality, and find peace with your forthcoming demise so you can think and act in this life like a human being and not like a fearful animal.

For the last time, what I am trying to refer to is the fact that we WASTE our resources with needless wars and allow our children to be killed in wars we do not need yet there is a crisis in which there is NO solution we do nothing. Don't judge me from one sentence in a thread and because of your statement I know you did not read the whole thread.

Japan is lying to the world about this crisis. It is effectively killing its own people and poisoning them with NOT doing anything. Everyone in the world is doing nothing. The MSM is out of the loop as always and has moved on. Japan is releasing nothing but bits and pieces and the latest is that they are going to ride it out and let it cool.

Open your mind for a second and realize that in the words I am using, invade or pressure, does not mean occupation. It means the world needs to step in and take care of this.

What do YOU think the world should do?

Invasion? No. Pressure? Yes.

I would damn sure rather our resources be used to quell a spiraling nuclear disaster that may impact the entire planet than on Libya or any other ME country including Israel.

That Obama gave a speech on Monday justifying involvement in Libya rather than laying out a plan to end the Japanese nuclear crisis is shocking to me, as is the fact that he dedicated military assets to yet a third Islamic nation rather than ending war as he promised.

It's all insane.

Its not insane. Its a window into the real motives that drive your politicians.

And clearly, "civilian lives" are not it. Its a chance for people to make a mental note, so when they are listening to the drone of propaganda, they can eliminate possible motives.

The only thing that makes stuff like this look insane is if you try to believe what they say rather than file away all the facts about how they DO behave, and then eliminate possible motives when they speak. Their behavior is actually totally rational, its just not driven by what they claim it is. The only irrationality going on is the public trying to make sense of what is happening by listening to the media messages without some serious thinking and filtering of their own.

This line makes no sense. No, it is not totally rational but it is totally human. They are burying their heads in the sand. Too proud to admit that they have no clue what to do or where to go. Most people are not even following this because the evil MSM as you have referenced is not covering it anymore. They are past the Libyan invasion and it is Spring break so when there is a shark attack or someone falls off a balcony that will be big news.

I have filtered everything that has happened since this occurred and the there needs to be intervention on a global scale. How about we pass a UN resolution that allows us to go into Japan without there authorization so we can try to stop the genocide that is occurring?

I did read your entire post.

Why get angry at people who respond to your post? YOU chose the word invade. It has a specific meaning, and obviously, it evokes a specific idea in peoples heads. Fix your OP if you dont want people responding to it.
