didn't we already go through this with someones craptacular video of the moon proving it's fake? Actually, i think this thread should be in the humor section as it's laughable and flies in the face of centuries of data on the moon. It doesn't matter if we've been there, can see it with scopes, and can bounce lasers off the lunar reflectors, it's obviously a hologram put there by some ancient civilization so it would confuse people on ATS.

Why this type of crap gets flags and stars is beyond me.

We're losing it people.

We're here to deny ignorance yet all i see is people embracing it, making bold claims with no proof, and when proven wrong, they always resort to attacking the other people, usually calling them close minded, or my favorite, government shill.

what the heck happened to rational discussion, and lest we forget, critical thought?

Maybe ATS needs a "This is retarded" bin for threads like this. I mean, have your theory, but don't turn into a troll when someone proves you wrong.

I have got the book Who Built the Moon and heard the comments about the thing going 'bong' when the astronaughts landed on it.

I wonder if we would have the vibrant life on earth we have today if the moon didn't move the tides. Without that movement, the water on the planet would be stagnant and life would have taken a very different turn.

Abouty 3900,million years the earth suffered terrific storms because the moon was closer to us than it is today and 100million years later it started to move away and the earth started to spin slower. It is currently moving very slowly away from us. If its artificial then we have had it a very long time. (Personally I would prefer it if it were a spaceship as I can think of some people I would delight it putting in it) just kidding.

I always thought stupidly that the moon was composed of 99% earth material and has been proven to have been formed at the same distance from the sun as the earth.

The PTB must be transporting earth material to the moon cos it feels nice on your feet on those space walks so that when catastrophe strikes they can go on some galactic voyage, as we all know since Roswell was the last survivor trying to escape his grey tomb we've been repairing the moon and populating it with all the hot chicks and replacing them with the easily bred variety of reptilian shape shifters, a stash of weed and a few bags of doritos.

The truth is out.

I'm sorry but when you steal your thread from arguably the most popular sci-fi movie series ever 4-6 then you get whats flung your way.

Your post has no logic at all...
It has more logic than you'll ever understand.

do you have any idea the effects the moon has on earth? Without the moon i doubt life would exist!
Now explain exactly why life wouldn't be able to exist on a moonless Earth.

What would have happened if the Earth did not have the Moon?

On a daily basis, we would still have large breakers on the continental west coasts because of the rotation speed of the Earth, and the existence of storms out at sea, and sloping beaches. The waves we are most familiar with from minute to minute are caused by small ripples out at sea caused by storms, which get amplified into majestic breakers by their motion up a sloping beach, and the rotation of the Earth from west to east which gives them added momentum. Without the Moon, we would still have high and low tides due to the Sun, but these would be half as tall as the lunar high and low tides. There would, however, be no Neap or Spring Tides which occur when the Sun and Moon are on opposite sides of the Earth, or on the same side.

So far as anyone can tell, there would be no impacts on the issue of life on the Earth because, if ocean tides were important in getting life started by, for example, mixing up the so-called 'primordial soup', the solar tides ought to have been more than adequate to have done the same thing 3.5 - 4.0 billion years ago.

Without the Moon, there would have been no necessity for breaking the calendar year into 12 months. A large body of music titles would also have disappeared.

The tidal stress upon the Earth due to the gravity from the Moon would have vanished, and some feel that this might have had an impact on how active the crust of the Earth would be in terms of vulcanism and continental drift. It is possible that the Earth would have been slightly less geologically active, and when the Earth's atmosphere was first being formed via volcanic outgassing, perhaps it would have taken a bit longer for the atmosphere to have reached high enough concentrations necessary for synthesizing life. I think, however, that the physics of the interior of the Earth, the rate of convection of the mantle, is far more under the control of non-lunar influences intrinsic to the Earth itself.

Without the Moon, there would be no 26,000 precession of the equinoxes which is due to the torquing of the Earth by the Moon. This would be replaced by a much slower precession caused by the influence of the Sun, Venus and Mars. The axis of the Earth's rotation in space would point towards the same spot in the sky for 100's of thousands and even millions of years.

Recent computer simulations suggest that, without the Moon, the Earth's axis tilt may have been very different than what it is today. This would have caused very different seasons on the Earth, and the impact that this could have had on the developing biosphere ranges from moderate to catastrophic. The Moon actually seems to stabilize the tilt of the Earth's rotation axis over the course of billions of years.

Without the Moon, there might not be any seasons, or the seasons might be very different ones. It is believed that the Moon is an interloper from a more distant spot in the solar system which was captured by the Earth billions of years ago. This capture would have caused the rotation axis of the Earth to be seriously shifted to where it is now. The Earth may have started off with a rotation axis pointing almost perpendicular to the plane of the solar system, rather than canted at 23.5 degrees as it is now. Without this tilt, the rays from the Sun would always strike the Earth's surface at a fixed angle every day of the year. At the Earth's equator, the Sun's rays would always be perpendicular to the ground all year long. At a latitude of 45 degrees, they would strike the ground at 45 degrees every day, and at the North and South Poles, the Sun would never make it above the horizon.

Seasons would be dictated, not by time of year, but by your particular latitude on the Earth. There would be a belt around the equator where it always felt like summer. At mid-latitudes it would always feel like spring or autumn, and in the extreme latitudes we would have winter all year around. This would have significant effects on weather systems, circulation patterns etc.

Without the Moon, there would be no change in the length of the day due to the tidal friction between the Earth and Moon.

What about the moons of the other planets in our solar system?
Were they put there by aliens aswell?

Is there any chance the martians drove the moon here after their planet was damaged? Maybe we are the aliens?
They changed our DNA from the earlier humans? Just being creative in thought here...

Personally, I do not think it's artificial.

On a side note, I think you are all utterly insane, seriously.
What a crap thread.

Threads like this take ALL the seriousity out of ATS! That's what makes a forum for sereous discoussions into a bounch of weirdows for the general public!

Lol this is a funny thread.

If it were a hollow moon base made from metal I would think we would be hearing transmittions and signals on a non stop basis as we send to space noise all the time....short distance to hear from.

Hollow and goes "Bong" give me a break....if it could make a noise by something landing on it then the noise it self would have had enough power to likely pulverize and ruin the astronauts and thier craft....think of a big bell tower bell. The bigger the bell the louder and stronger the sound waves....sigh.

Oh and the craters...if they were impact from anything and the moon was metal the resonance would still be detectible.....it would be like ripples on the water.

Just this moon, or all the moons in the galaxy?
not understanding?????

The whole aspect of this was dealing with galaxy wars1 with the reptilliens and triangular race of aliens, the meteor was thrown at them, just like in all the wars they had on earth,if you dont believe me,then follow the wars.

Start in mexico, this was the first galaxy wars ever between the 2 groups, this is where the reptillien race was first found in the world.
After new mexico ,work your way north to canada, after you reach canada,go east acroos the water to russia, after russia ,go south down to china, and from china, work your way to india. When the reptillien race found the triangular race close to eygpt, they went to war AGAIN,but it was a short time because they lauched another comet at them.
THE END.

oooook.
?
?
can you start over,i fell to see the point in all this.
you dont bloody need to start over because it doesnt make since.

Sorry you all, I forgot the most important thing, just follow the history of all comets that hit earth, and you will connect the migration of the reptilians in history, as well as the wars they had...connect the comets.

The reptilian race basically influenced the east and south of the world, while the triangle race only influenced Syria Egypt Iraq and Iran.

The reptilians was here way before the triangle race came, but that’s when they lived and settled down near new Mexico, after they tossed the comet at them, they then moved to Colorado, after Colorado, they went to Canada, ettc etc etc.

Just look up all known comets that hit earth and you will see.

Start with New Mexico, the Colorado, then Canada, then work your way to Russia

Barringer Crater in the USA, the first crater to be proven the result of an impact, ~50,000 years old.
the Rio Cuarto craters in Argentina, produced by an asteroid striking Earth at a very low angle, ~10,000 years old.
the Lonar crater lake in India, which now has a flourishing semi-tropical jungle around it, ~52,000 years old (though a study published in 2010 gives a much greater age).
the Henbury craters in Australia (~5,000 years old), and Kaali craters in Estonia (~2700 years old), apparently produced by objects which broke up before impact.
The Clovis comet hypothesis is a theory that an air burst from a large comet above or even into the Laurentide Ice Sheet north of the Great Lakes set all of the North American continent ablaze around 12,900 years ago. The theory attempts to explain the extinction of most of the large animals in North America and the demise of the North American stone age Clovis culture about at the end of the Pleistocene epoch. Proponents claim the existence of a charred carbon-rich layer of soil found at some 50 Clovis-age sites across the continent.[6] It has been criticized for not being consistent with paleoindian population estimates.[7] Impact specialists have studied the claim and concluded that there never was such an impact, in particular because various physical signs of such an impact cannot be found.[8]

More recent prehistoric impacts are theorized by the Holocene Impact Working Group, including Dallas Abbott of Columbia University's Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory in Palisades, N.Y.[9] This group points to four enormous chevron sediment deposits at the southern end of Madagascar, containing deep-ocean microfossils fused with metals typically formed by cosmic impacts. All of the chevrons point toward a spot in the middle of the Indian Ocean where newly discovered Burckle crater,[10]29 km (18 mi) in diameter, or about 25 times larger than Barringer Crater, lies 3,800 m (12,500 ft) below the surface. This group posits that a large asteroid or comet impact c. 2800-3000 BC produced a mega-tsunami at least 180 m (590 ft) high, a catastrophic event that would have affected humanity's cradles of civilization.[11] If this and other recent impacts prove correct, the rate of asteroid impacts is much higher than currently thought.

What you say is Biblically correct about the moon not being there 6000 years ago. I also believe the stars we look at are not exactly the same as our Sun

OK, I'll bite - you have sold me on your claim that the Moon is an artificial spaceship. You did a great job putting forth a valid argument.

Just one question: how does the Moon being a spaceship in anyway affect my insignificant existence on the Earth? Or is this just another one of the many moronic insignificant ATS threads whose purpose is to increase visitor page impressions by creating yet another diversion for idiots?

How do we know that those symbols actually represent the moons cycle and is not just a tally stick of some sort. Perhaps who ever made that was keeping count of the different types of game he killed. Who can really be sure of what it represents. It really doesn't look like the moon to me.

Actually it kinda looks like maccaroni noodles and beans to me
