What I understood from Obama's speech is that the United States, as a nation, has a humanitarian obligation to take action in Libya and gives such a sob story for his decision in sending American's once again into harm. What about humanitarian consideration along our borders? Why are American citizens not protected? Why should we be subjected to non-citizens who defecate/mar our flag/culture/ideals? Do we not count?

I would be all for the US being the world police if i thought we did that and did it well.
Problem is we kill the civillians "accidentally" and put in puppet dictators.
Then if that was not bad enough, we don't really respond in the areas that really use some help.

When a president gets a peace prize for continuing war, calling something humanitarian when you blow stuff up is just part of this upside down world.
