I drew it in the wee hours of last night, after reading some yogic commentary on the new testement given by Paramhansa Yogananda, the drawing represents the 5 sense energies yadda yadda if you are curious about it we can talk more

EDIT: the real goal of putting this up on ATS is to get opinons on a series of paintings...descring the changes happening in the world today

I made a thread a few weeks ago about wanting to make a painting based off many of the situations going on in the world today, trying to get inspired in a positive way is very difficult- but there needs to be both negative and positive to make a picture (literally).

I am going to update this tread every few minutes as I format and upload the pieces I have been working on over the last day or two, you can check out my other recent sketches on my ats gallery

If you wanted to check out my other art from the past HERE

This is meant to head of a series of paintings starting with the embodied giant figure of greed (could use help from some experts on symbolism to set the tone right on who I might be trying to represent here as the elite) with the people of the earth under his feet carrying it forward, since I do believe we are (though ignorant of it) the true dynamo of the chaos in the world

I think it's beautiful. Wonderful job! It reminds a little of Alex Grey's picture titled: Gaia

right on- mind you I didnt know it as the pinneal gland, but you are right, it is the crown chakra

Located above the head, outside the body, this chakra links individual and universal. Sahasrara or the crown chakra is generally considered to be the chakra of consciousness. Sahasrara chakra symbolizes detachment from illusion; an essential element in obtaining supramental higher consciousness of the truth that one is all and all is one. The crown chakra is the body's primary co-ordination center. It ensures a connection to universal sources of energy and with the world as a whole. Often referred as thousand-petaled lotus, it is said to be the most subtle chakra in the system, relating to pure consciousness, and it is from this chakra that all the other chakras emanate. A balanced crown chakra allows for expanded awareness on an emotional level. The crown chakra signifies illumination. When a yogi is able to raise his or her kundalini, energy of consciousness, up to this point, the state of Samadhi, or union with God, is experienced. Symbolized by a lotus with one thousand petals.

Have a look at Masonic symbology,or denver airport to get a few more ways to incorporate into your art.You seem quite talented, like to see the end result.

Take a look at the art of "The Wall" by pink floyd, The album and the art are both heavily filled with symbolism..

Perhaps you could find inspiration..
Link. ( just use google images)

This one would be the second of the series, trying to make visible the body of the fallen elite amongst the crowds of people and above the aquarian power comming from th skys- thats a concept from some other sketches from a few days ago-

and as a female?

good call on DIV i checked it out a few days ago, and lets just say I wet the bed! wtf little girls in coffins

I want to use masonic symbols, but I dont know about all the different sects, the most predominant symbol I would look to use is the owl, since it is universal, I dont want to just put a pile of them in an image for shock value, but put those symbols most significant to the highest levels, that I might rile up some attention in the future lol hopefully

That represents the heart, it is a place we all choose to dwell, and yet none of our hearts are the same, it is an ocean of dualistic currents of desires, so it was meant to be ambiguos(right word?) so I used a boat in open water - above, as it is tunnelled up to the mind, the play of black and white represents that dualism, not full in itself but only a reflection of the black and white of our desires and aversions (all rooted in the heart I believe)

Awesome Sketch....I think what is so engrossing about the figure head is that he represents something different for each individual viewer. Anything from the Illuminati, Big Brother, and the Rothschilds to Communism, Socialism and the Religious Right. It's quite engaging and you have an amazing talent, not only with your medium, but capturing the essence of domination, control and fear (at least that is my "individual take". Keep up the AMAZING work.

I don't know if you've done anything on canvas but I think your art deserves a better medium than notebook paper - not that I'm in any place to be giving artistic advice haha.

BTW The sketch of the large figure on the "throne" is impressive to say the least, if you ever pursue this seriously you at least have a couple fans already

Thanks, thats some fuel for me, I dont want to make it tacky or taboo by putting a big picture of obama on a throne, the roots obviously go deeper then that, in fact, bordering the spiritual realm which is really my own centre of inspiration. I want to try and balance the darkness though I am having trouble finishing the series... something positive

Another concept, there is a room, very elegant, filled with the elites-corporate leaders-millitary leaders- politicians (which ones I would have to research later) but they are all in a room looking at the earth crumbling, with an owl in the shadows above
