hello survivalists, i have been trying to come up with a shtf plan lately.. of courst there are many things that can go wrong and i will react dirrerent to all but most likely if i dont stay put and make my house a fortress, i will join up with family/friends and either bug out to a large unpopulated wilderness aria, or i will head in the opposite direction into the small city(after a month or so to let the chaos die down)depends on the situation. the reason i would do this is because IMO it will be just as easy to support a group scavenging in the city(which hopefully most people will flee from and leave supplies) as to support them in a wilderness aria(you can only trap/hunt so mutch a week)..
so i was thinking if i had to grab my bob and head into an urban environment with hopes of joining friends/family, my bob would have to change.

HERE ARE SOME IDEAS FOR URBAN SURVIVAL. FEEL FREE TO ADD WHAT EVER HELPFULL TOOLS/THINGS YOU CAN THINK OF
-sleeping bag,small and light..

-no tent/tarps- instead i would have an auto jiggler set to break into cars for shelter..

-i would also want to have a car charger for electronics, for example a dorcy rechargable flashlight with car charger built in, that way i can charge it in the car i sleep in.

-a magnesium stick- for lighting stove, not for making fires, in an urban aria it will be too easy to light up the town (if its not already burnt down) and the smoke put off by burning trash(i doubt there will be fire wood on the streets) will be be like a smoke signal telling EVERYONE where you are, and the smoke its toxic and deadly in an enclosed aria..

-to cook i would want a white gas stove that can take gasoline(cousin has one but theyre hard to find anyone know where they sell at?), the most common fuel you will find is gas and best of all a little goes a long way, so running out will be hard.

-a soft, gas proof, plastic hose(four feet) for sucking gas out of cars.(put it in emty water bottle there will be plenty all over).

-pump action water filter, not tablets or bleach.

-crossbow with folding prod, that way it will fit in my pack and wont dangle off of it.

-gun for self defense i recomend an ar-7, it is light, small, quiet and you can carry alot more .22 than any other ammo(but remember, it will give your position away so try to use crossbow unless you are up ageanst alot of people)

obviously its not a complete BOB but that is all i can think of for urban right now.. please add or if you disagree on something please let me know(but dont be hating on the gun and saying go pistol, because i know at 50 yards none of us cant hit $h!t with a pistol )
-THNX

www.gunsamerica.com... , andwww.parts.cc... not hating on your .22 rifle theory, but here are some more effective weapon ideas. The Mech Tech for the glock is the one I have for my Glock 22. I can get a 4" group easy at a 100 yards with it just messin around at the range. A friend of mine owns the Kel Tec, and this is a nice little rifle, fits in a zippered hiking pack with ease, and .223 ammo is pretty darn light. Also, invest in a good tactical flashlight. They are definitely worth their weight, and a good surefire G2 isnt that heavy, but the quality is outstanding

Scrap the hose for gas, all you need to do is go underneath the car to the tank and make a hole in it (with screwdriver/awl and a little force). Itll save you bad breath and frustration as there are situations where you wont be able to get the gas with the hose.

That's if you are alive after the tank blows from the spark.

For the stove, I would recommend a bushbuddy or bushcooker, although they do make a visible flame, but I believe you can burn just about anything pretty efficiently in those. Twigs and trash will be a lot easier to find than gasoline.

Meh, that's how all the thieves have been doing it since gas took the uptick. For the record, gas is not flammable, the fumes are, makes perfect sense.
