I'm planning a new build with a core i7 2600K. I know about the B2 stepping debacle, and I wanted to get some real world feedback about boards you folks have bought.

I'm thinking about going with ASUS, and I'm looking in the 150-200 dollar range.

I have read reviews, and may be going for a water cooling setup as well.

Thoughts? Experiences?

By the way, this is going to be the fastest computer on ATS!

I bought a pretty good ASUS motherboard recently and I'm happy with it.

Is this for an 1155 build? If so, what model are you using and what ram did you pair it with?

Overclock? EFI bios?

I recommend ASUS as well, I have used them for some time now with no problems, It wasn't for that build but still.

I have my eye on This motherboard soon as I get some money to spare, That is going to make one hell of a pc.

Asus

NO direct recomendations.
Other than I built 2 Asus based Servers...A set of twins if you will.
running 24/7 serving up multiple apps..and handling workflows. Heavy workflows..
This was 4 years ago..I love my little servers.

Now I have an Asus Laptop...and a couple of monitors.

I like their products...

So this is more of a brand recommendation.

Sorry, but if you are going with the 1155 chipset, it wont be.

1366 chipset is incredibly fast. triple channel ram, increased cpu cache. 1155 is an architecture or 2 behind.

As others have stated, asus boards IMHO are a great way to go. If you find you still want to go with the 1155 chipset, id recommend the P8P67 Deluxe - Revision 3

Just my .02¢
