If there were no evil, there would be no prisons, and no violent crime. If there were no good, what would there be to achieve? Are we leaving out the conscious ability to decide which direction to go? When someone cuts me off in traffic, what I think I wish I could do to them I recognize as evil. When I slow down in traffic and wave someone ahead of me I recognize this as good. They wave back and I feel good about it. If you have never felt good or bad for something you've done you are probably a sociopath.

Original sin and Guilt are 2 of the greatest rackets the Catholic church came up with. Parents gladly pass it on generation after generation. Once you stop feeling guilty for your actions and just apologize when you hurt someone you will see things a lot clearer

Good vs evil is basically a reflection, of either a state of growth, or a state of decay. Those in a state of growth will perform hopeful/productive, "good" actions, and those in a state of decay will perform desperate/destructive "evil" actions. In the most metaphysical sense, it is about the "life force" and those who are still in possession of thier "vital force" and those who have lost it and prey upon the "good" in order to acquire it, without having the capacity to produce it themselves. The idea is that the ecosystem, or the planet, is a living being, and has rules that decide upon the individuals who are allowed to channel the "life force" and those who are not, who are left to die. One can liken it to a disease - the immune system will destroy those that are not productive. Therefore, sins are things that are a mis-use of the "life force" - basically starting with sex for gratification over reproduction, or material existence beyond that which is required to survive. Individuals who commit such "sins" eventually lose their "life force" or "vital essence" and have what is called a "spiritual deficit". The forces of "evil" will have us engaging in all kind of activity when young, so that "spark of life" or "shield of innocence" or basically our sense of "hope" is extinguished from us. Those who still have it are generally preyed upon by the rest of the population - the good are suffering due to the crushing "evil" on this planet.

In other words? Its something more than simple morality, it goes to the level of the spirit and soul itself, one of the major deceptions is that the soul is immortal - an immortal soul is something that is earnt, and it is a truth that is generally hidden from people. For the most part, those who don't believe or have lost any sense of hope will basically die a permanant death, and those in the lower spiritual planes will eventually fade away, becoming a memory of the group-soul, or spiritual organism. Those that ascend will attain a level of consciousness that allows them to carry on self-consciousness into the spirtual world, and those who reincarnate will form a part of the ancestral memory of newborn individuals, as opposed to being simple thoughtforms in the collective consciousness.

Who determined that "decay, destruction, desperation and sex for gratification, " were evil things? Who has the audacity to claim dominion over anything? The planet is no more or less important than any single human. I for one reject this idea of slavery and denounce this part of the theory!
If we have "earned" our souls who then decided upon the wage?

I don't necessarily think it's totally about control, the use of good vs. evil. Not that morality or ethics are directly involved in any sort of spirituality, but for better or worse, it is an easy way for people to feel that they are redeemed or whatever term you want to use. "I have done no bad actions, so I'm going to heaven". It's something immediate and something they feel they have control over. Moral action just on a human level is rewarding, with god also supporting your actions, it just makes it that much more attractive.

As far as "forces" of good and evil....good question. The apostle Paul talks about the battle not being against flesh and blood, but principalities and spiritual wickedness in high places...which I think is true. In some ways, I do think you have to look past physical actions or whatever.

Ultimately, morality and ethics don't factor into spirituality. This whole world is immoral. "Life exists on life, and you better remember it", one of my favorite teachers said, and it's realistically very true.

George Carlin also said, "Your birth certificate is proof of your guilt". Which again I find very true. Being born means you are guilty, and anything can happen to you and it's justified. It's not worth the effort to combat any sort of morality or ethics, "this life" is temporary and is given and taken freely.
