Will turn it of because I´m going to sleep. save energy everyday, not just today!

What is so ignorant about people turning off their lights for an hour to limit just a little our ecological footprint? No one is making this law and you are missing the benefits of it, an hour of no lights will lower your electric bill (save $$) and is quite relaxing if you light some candles instead.

Quit trying to make everything political so you can look like some big strong conservative who is not going to bow down to the ‘greenies’ that ask you to turn out your lights for one hour for one night of the year and save some money, resources, and the environment.

Talk about ignorant.

Heck, no I'm not turning off my lights. I am turning them all on, and leaving my car running overnight so that when I get up in the morning it will be still warm.

Just as misguided as you I suppose thinking this will help

1 hour worth of my high efficiency light bulbs being off is a drop in the bucket compared to the electrical draw my wife's Dialysis Cycler uses every night on a 10 hour shift. Not worth it for my family.

but it does help
It helps people feel good about themselves for 1 hour and then they turn on the same appliances again after the event is over.
I get the impression it is like a person going to confession and then commiting the same sins after they get forgiven,
